Eight and a half hours later, without sharing a single word with Harry,we finally see the sign saying we are entering Boston.

I couldn't feel my legs, they were numb after spending so many hours sitting in a single say. Harry seemed to be in pain as well, but he wouldn't show it no matter what. His eyebrows remained furrowed throughout the whole journey, something I didn't even think he realized he was doing. I knew him well enough to know he did it when he was in immense pain.

We only stopped a single time during the whole ride to use the toilet, to get some gas and food, but other than that, we have been stuck in this terrible smelling car for the last eight hours. There was no radio which meant the ride was painfully long and boring. Unlike Harry's suggestion, I did not sleep a single minute, however I had my eyes closed during most of the journey. I was unable to sleep knowing he was as tired as I was, my arm was ready to hold the steering wheel in case he fell asleep at any minute.

He didn't fall asleep, in fact, he kept his eyes wide open the whole time, paying attention to all his surroundings. How he did that under the influence of heavy painkillers was a mystery to me, I was also not going to ask him, especially after the way he treated me as we were leaving the airport. I was hoping he would apologize in the meantime, but that apology never came.

Maybe I was indeed overreacting, however there was something about his violent reaction that just doesn't sit right with me. I know we are going through a lot, this is a very difficult time and he is under immense stress but it is not my fault. I was thrown into the middle of this just like he was, we are in this together. Instead, we are as distant as ever.

My head felt heavy and my eyelids felt like they could shut for the next ten hours if I let them. It was now ten in the evening which meant it was three in the morning back in the UK. After the sleepless night I had yesterday I was desperately needing a bed to sleep.

Harry seemed to have a destination set in mind but I ask no questions about it. Maybe we will have to sleep in this disgusting car, which honestly, considering how tired I am right now, I could gladly accept it. Then, as I was about to let my head fall against the fogged window I watch Harry take an exit on the secondary road we were driving in. I force my sight to focus on the road ahead of us, seeing we are heading towards a hotel, or a motel, I can't distinguish it at this distance.

"Are you awake?" Harry asks as he can't see if I have my eyes open or not, my face is facing the window on purpose to avoid looking at him.

"Yes." I simply answer as he hums in response slowing down the car. In less than a minute he parked the car right in front of what seemed to be a reception of the motel. Yes, it is a cheap motel which doesn't seem much better than this car to be honest, however it was too late to find anything better. I'm just glad he decided to stop and not force us into countless more hours inside this car.

"Let's go. We will stay here for the night." He says the obvious.

My hand reaches the door handle opening it as I struggle to exit the car. My legs feel numb from the many hours they spent in the same position, it takes me a couple of seconds to adjust. Harry simply takes the two bags from the backseat while I debate internally if I should just leave my own suitcase in the trunk of the car, as I have no energy to retrieve it. However, the need to brush my teeth and change clothes weights more in my decision so I simply open the trunk taking out the heavy suitcase.

Harry doesn't wait for me as he heads inside the reception. The weather is a little cooler now, nothing like the immense heat we felt as we landed in New York. My whole body hurt and I was desperately needing a shower, even if I don't know if I will be able to remain awake for long enough to take one.
