Morning

Lance steps out, and walks into the cafeteria for breakfast. "Morning guys!" He says, with his normal cheery smile. 

"Hey Lance!" Hunk says in return, the only one who says anything. It's a quiet day in the castle. Nothing major happening at the current time. No missions, no cries for help, nothing. Keith, who finally got up, after falling asleep late once again confused on lances strange nickname for him, walked in. 

"Morning babe." He blushed a little, like he always does, but it's not noticeable unless you really look. Pidge stifles a laugh. The entire castle knows about Keith's crush on Lance, except for Lance himself. Keith isn't the most obvious, but yet, people found out. She can't imagine the amount of panic going through his head right now. 

"Umm, hey lance." He says as he sits down. He never knows why lance calls him that, but he's not sure if he should ask him. Would it be awkward if he did? He's really not sure. 

"You doing okay babe? You look sorta red." Keith choked for a minute, and pidge slapped his back. 

"I'm good." He was suddenly very interested in his food. Lance shrugged it off, and ate his food happily. Allura simply chuckled to herself at this. Lance raised an eyebrow, but shrugged it off. He didn't feel like questioning it at the moment. But people seemed a little off. Like they were hiding something. But who was he to question it. If they didn't want to tell him, why should he care? Besides, he's tried to get them to tell him. 

It, well... It didn't work. Nobody would tell him. And he's not about to ask Keith about it. Why would he ask his sworn rival about this? Especially when he's the one acting the weirdest about it! No, he'd rather figure it out by himself. Much rather than talk to him one on one. Heck, he's almost blushing just at the thought if it! He'd have to be absolutely desperate to ask.

"What's so funny? Babe?" He said, not noticing the endearing nickname he'd just used. How? It felt too natural, his mind never gave it a second thought. In fact, his brain barely processed the word leaving his mouth. Yeah, he is desperate enough to ask him.

"It's nothing Lance. Don't worry about it." 

"Oh come on! Someone's hiding something, and I wanna know what it is!" Shiro, smiled a little and shook his head.

"You'll figure it out eventually Lance." Lance nodded, and focused on eating. Keith stood up.

"I'm heading to the training deck..." 

"Okay! See ya babe!" Pidge laughed again, and Hunk just gave his friend an amused smile. You could see Keiths red ears from behind his mop of hair, and he just waved, not bothering to turn around, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of seeing his red face. Knowing lance,  it must just be one of his stupid contests, right?  Right.
