━━━━━━━━━━━━

(Y/N) flopped onto her bed with a sigh of relief. The school day had ended, she had successfully made it back into her household. Her first day was more interesting than she expected. And surprisingly, it was quite entertaining. "Uwaaa, that was quite the day!" (y/n) said softly under her breath. Most of the time, she was helping Kiyoko inside the gymnasium. Her brain suddenly brought up another memory, only from a couple of moments before.

"We challenge you!!"

A gentle smile tugged at (y/n's) mind as she recalled that very scene. Yes, two people had shouted, but the carrot top caught her attention. Though he was shorter, standing at about 162.8 cm, his fiery aura and determination outshined the other. "Erm... no offense, Kageyama-San." She giggled in her mind. (y/n) felt a sudden chill as she got up from her bed. "Ah," She calmly thought. "When was the match again..?" Curiouser and curiouser. Just as she was about to shrug the thought off, another one entered. "That's right!! It's on Saturday morning." (y/n) gleefully said out loud.

Not such a good idea when you're in a usually quiet household.

"(y/n), for goodness sake, could you quiet down? It's kind of hard to draw manga panels when you're screaming next door." Her older brother groaned, slightly glaring through the crack of her doorframe. "Ah, sorry Nii-Chan!" (y/n) said as she awkwardly rubbed the back of her neck. With an odd thought, she had the urge to question her brother. She then tilted her head to the side with a raised eyebrow. "Wait, I have a question for you." Tenma scrunched his nose up as he opened up the door wider. "And I have an answer. But hurry up, I still have to finish up my work."

"Uhm..." (y/n) muttered, staring at the floor. "Is it alright if I go out on Saturday? It's for school, I promise." Silence filled the air as Tenma stifled a chuckle. "Ask mom, it's not like I'm the parent here." Just as he turned to leave, the younger girl shouted. "Wait! It's for volleyball! I wanted to make sure that you're okay with it since-" The black-haired male ruffled his sister's hair as he smiled softly. "Don't worry, I dropped that hobby. Plus, I'm into something else now!"

(y/n) blinked in confusion. "Eh..? Wait, really? I'm not going to play though!" She started quietly. "I just want to watch a match between some new first years!! There's this one short guy with orange hair too. Though I haven't seen him play yet, I can tell that he's a great player! I know that cause he acts how you did when you were in high school!! Truly a-"

"Tiny giant." They both finished in unison. "The kid sounds cool, I feel like you two would be good friends." Tenma chuckled. Exiting the room, he whispered to himself. "Next tiny giant.. huh?"

(Y/N) wrapped her arms around her heavily coated body as she walked past the school gates. "Geh, it's quite chilly out for a Saturday." She muttered to herself. Soon reaching the front doors to the gymnasium, she peeked inside. "Hm, maybe I should've informed someone that I was coming.." She awkwardly grinned as she scratched the back of her neck. "Ah, (l/n)-san, we meet again." A feminine voice softly greeted. Turning around, (y/n's) eyes instantly lit up as she faced her upperclassman. "Shimizu senpai!! How are you?"

"Splendid! But I have one tiny question.. what are you doing here on a Saturday?" The older female asked as she tilted her head. Her raven locks gently gliding in the frosty wind. "Oh!!" (y/n) jumped. "The match between Sawamura senpai and the first years is today, right?" Kiyoko nodded her head as she slid open the doors. "Oh, I see! You want to watch. Come on in. You've been a great help the past days, so I'm sure that Daichi won't mind if you stayed."

A grin spread across (y/n's) while she hopped into the gymnasium, the fresh air breezing past her face. "You seem giddy, is there something certain that's causing this excitement..?" Kiyoko questioned once more. Those words hit (y/n) like a ton of bricks. "Wait.. giddy? Am I acting that way?" She thought. "Is that a bad thing, Shimizu senpai?" A delicate sigh escaped the other female's mouth as she closed the doors behind her. "Of course not! But you've been acting hyped the past days."

"Oh goodness, I have."

"Why am I so excited??"

"I just need to see him play..!"

Just as (y/n) was about to respond, voices immediately overlapped her own. Daichi and Sugawara stood at the doors along with Tanaka as they entered. "Good morning everyone." The girls said in unison. "Hey, Kiyoko!! I just wanted to tell you that you look gorgeous today!!" Tanaka eagerly greeted. Ignoring him, the goddess continued to walk as she faced her kouhai. "I'm sorry, were you going to say something, (l/n)?" She continued. Rubbing the back of her neck, (y/n) gently shook her head no.

"Hey, it's those girls from before, do you think at they're the team managers?" A familiar voice questioned. (y/n) immediately whipped her head around to see that the orange-haired boy had already arrived. But as soon as she looked at him, he was already looking back at Kageyama, babbling about who knows what. A sigh slipped past her lips as she slumped. "Good fortune, Mr. Ukai said. Well, it surely doesn't feel like it!!"

"Okay, I'll be on Tsukishima's team to even out the players!" Daichi suddenly announced, cutting off (y/n's) train of thoughts. "Eh? Is that really fair, captain??" The shorter boy asked with widened eyes. Daichi chuckled as he explained his reasoning. "Don't worry, Hinata. Tanka's on your team, and he's got a lot of attacking power." (y/n) couldn't help but smile at the name. "Eh.. Hinata, that surprisingly matches him well." She whispered to herself.

"Wait.." She blinked in confusion. "I don't believe that I've met this.. 'Tsukishima' yet. And who is the green-haired boy next to him?" Realizing her confusion, Kiyoko smiled. "You haven't met them yet?" Glancing at the blonde, she introduced. "The boy with glasses is Tsukishima-san, while the one with freckles is Yamaguchi-san. They're the other two first years other than Kageyama and Hinata." (y/n) taped the bottom of her chin with an understanding look. "Ah, I see now. Thank you, Shimizu senpai!"

(y/n) looked at them both with an interested expression. "Gehhh, those two look quite nice! Maybe I could make friends with-" Yet again, her thoughts her cut off by Tsukishima's sassy remark. "Tanaka or Hinata, which one should I challenge first?" He said with a smirk. The (e/c) girl stood in shock. Honestly, never judge a book by its cover! Both Hinata and Tanaka flinched at the statement. "I'd love to see the king lose." The blonde continued, a little bit too loud.

"Tsukki!!" Yamaguchi whispered, worried that his friend would get in trouble. "They can hear you, quiet down a bit!!"

Kiyoko giggled as she watched (y/n) stare in confusion. "Are they seriously talking bad about their teammates in front of the captain?? They must have some serious guts to do that." She muttered loud enough only for Kiyoko to hear. "I'm sure that Tsukishima-Kun doesn't mean it." The goddess assured. "Let's hope not.." (y/n) sighed, gazing as the tall boy continued to trash talk the opposing team.
