Xavier laid Chet down on one of the infirmary beds and cut Chet's shirt open so we could get a better look at his wound.
"I don't feel so good. Is this what dying feels like?" Chet groaned.
"You're gonna be okay. Trevor knows what he's doing." Xavier said, worry was clear on his face.
Chet let out a breath, then just stopped. Trevor tried shaking him, but Chet was unresponsive.
"God, he's lost a lot of blood." Trevor said.
"He's dead." Xavier said,
Trevor put his fingers on Chet's neck, checking for a pulse, "Not quite." Trevor reached over and grabbed a large needle out of a drawer.
"And what exactly are you planning on doing with that?" I asked
Trevor went to stab the needle into Chet's chest, but I grabbed his wrist. "Trevor what the hell?"
"What are you doing?!" Xavier exclaimed.
"It's epinephrine for, like, peanut allergies and shit. It's like pure adrenaline." Trevor explained.
"You sure it's gonna work?" Xavier asked.
"It's not gonna make him worse." Trevor replied.
"He has a point." I added, letting go of Trevor's wrist. I thought that I heard him mutter something about 'hell of a grip'
Trevor stabbed the syringe into Chet's chest and pushed the plunger down. We waited a moment, and nothing happened. Then suddenly Chet sprang up with a gasp.
"What just happened?" Chet exclaimed, "Feels like my heart's beating out of my chest." Chet pulled the syringe out of his chest and threw it to the floor.
"At least it's beating," I said as I grabbed some gauze and put pressure on his open wound, and muttered a healing incantation under my breath.
"We need Ray and Montana to get here with the cops now." Trevor said.
"Ray's a choad. He left me to die." Chet groaned. "The cops were looking for him. He told me he killed someone in college."
Xavier sighed, "I thought making porn was bad."
"What?" Chet, Trevor and I said confused.
"Nothing." Xavier said hurriedly. Xavier's eyes lit up with an idea, "Oh, my God! Porn! Blake! The guy with the spike through his eye! He drove here in his Cadillac. The keys are still in the car. It's parked right by the showers. We have a way out!"
"Baby! You're a genius!" I said, grabbing him by the face and kissing him.
"Alright, love birds, we have to grab Margaret and Bertie. Then we head to the car."
"What if we're too late?" Xavier asked.
"All right. Let's go right now." Chet said as he strained to get up.
Xavier and Trevor pushed him back down. We shared a look, we all knew that Chet wouldn't be able to make it to the car.
"Don't be an idiot you're way too messed up." Xavier said, "You lie low." He gave the scissors to Trevor, "I'll go get Bertie."
"I'll go get Margaret." Trevor said. "We'll circle back around for both of you, okay?"
"What the hell are you talking about? I'm going with Xavier." I said, angry with their plan.
"Circe," Xavier put his hand on my face, "Someone needs to stay here with Chet. I'll be back soon." He said lightly kissing me, "I promise." He and Trevor left.
