The Brit and the Bass

Chapter 2

CW: mention of drugs?

CALUMS POV:

I woke up as the sun shined through the curtains. I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes looked up to see Benny sitting in the corner at my bass.

My two favorite things:

1. The brit

2. The bass

I sighed remembering I went to sleep without waiting up for my lover to arrive home last night. Just as those thoughts walked through my head Benzer spoke up,

"Hey babe I noticed you fell asleep without me last night," he said while coming towards me and wrapping his arms around my torso "Is something wrong, that's not like you."

I hummed as he ran his fingers through my hair, "I'm just really stressed you know, with the album and everything it's a lot right now, and not getting to spend as much time with you is putting a toll on me."

I placed my head in the crook of his neck as he spoke up, "I'm sorry baby, I know, it been hard for me too with your busy schedule with the band and mine with filming it's like we hardly see each other anymore except for when we're going to sleep and waking up."

I hummed but didn't say a word. Him holding me close was all I needed right now. I listened to his heartbeat for a few minutes till he spoke up again,

"Hey um Cally you probably saw I was at the bass when you woke up and probably were wondering why a-and u-um I- to lay it flat out I was up all night thinking about you, I know how much music means to you and I know it might sound silly, but I wrote you a song."

Omg!! I was ecstatic! To think my Benedict would do such a thing for me is so sweet,

"Give it to me baby!"

BENEDICTS POV:

my hands started to sweat as I sat back down in my favorite bassist's chair. 'It all or nothing Ben' I said to myself as I opened my mouth to sing,

"PRATT, PRATT ON A MAT, PRAT WITH A BAT, PRAT IN A FRAT, PUME!! I JOKE TO COPE, I COPE WITH COKE, BUT I DO. NOT. CHOKE."

Calum jumped out of bed and into my arms tears rolling down his face,

"Oh, Benny that was- that was the most beautiful thing in the world thank you so so so so so so so much!"

We kissed and cut the rubbish and spent the day cuddled up happy in each other's embrace. Could it get any better?
