6 | 𝚌𝚊𝚜𝚎 𝚜𝚘𝚕𝚟𝚎𝚍

Only two days had passed since we visited Rando and I hadn't seen Chuuya ever since. Still I decided to visit Rando again, this time on my own.

We met up and of course I had to light the fireplace first.

It was quiet and peaceful until I decided to break the silence and confront Rando about the case.

"I know who the culprit is remember?"

Rando turned to me and gave me a confused look.

"It was easy to figure out. It's you. You told us about the sunset remember? That's when you blew your cover. Because if you were a victim of the explosion you wouldn't have been able to see the sunset."

Rando looked confused for a moment then his expression changed to shocked.

I was about to continue explaining my point when Chuuya barged in.

"It's you! Rando is the culprit!"

"I was first." I looked at him and crossed my arms giving him a mocking smirk.

"Fuck off! I spent the last two days thinking about it!"

That was a relief. I thought he had spent the past few days being depressed about the sheep not trusting him. I'm glad that wasn't the case.

"Good you solved the case. Yes it was me who brought your dead boss back. But now I want you to answer me one question Chuuya. Where is Arahabaki?"

Why was he asking Chuuya? I knew I was the one who solved the case first so why did he want to hear it from Chuuya?

"I am Arahabaki."

I gasped a little. And that was the moment I realized Chuuya was actually almost as smart as I was.

"You were the one who broke the seal eight years ago and you were the one who wanted to kill me!"

As soon as those words fell Rando used his ability to isolate me from Chuuya.

His ability was very strong and it seemed impossible to break through the walls he created.

"Why leaving me out? Seems like you know my ability?"

I asked Rando while Chuuya was trying to kick down the walls without any success.

"Let me enjoy this moment. I finally remember my past. My name is Arthur Rimbaud and I was here as a western spy. I finally remember hahaha."

I turned around and saw the old boss trying to hit me with an axe. I tried dodging it but it slightly cut my chest.

"Oh hello boss, you look much better than the last time I saw you."

I sat on the floor not being able to get up because of the cut on my chest.

"I thought he was dead. What did you do Rando?"

I asked looking over to Rando who was flying on a block he created with his ability.

"My ability allows me to control dead people. Meaning I can make him do everything I want without him being alive."

Looking at Rando and the former boss I slowly got up.

"Why did you hide this amazing ability from the port mafia?"

"It was my plan this whole time. Even eight years ago my only goal was to find and kill Chuuya. Now that you're here you'll have to die too Dazai."

"Nice idea." I smiled and looked over to Chuuya, "Chuuya? Let's kill them. Both of them."

Chuuya on the other side of the wall gave me a weird look: "Seriously? Didn't you want to die this whole time?"

Of course I didn't expect him to say that. I did want to die. But not like that.

"I don't want to due just yet. You know dying isn't the opposite of living so it wouldn't chabge much. Let's just say it's worth trying. At least a little longer."

I gave Chuuya a warm smile and turned to the former mafia boss who was trying to hit me with his axe.

I dodged a few times before running up to Chuuya.

Rando saw through our plan and started making the former boss attack me so I couldn't reach Chuuya.

"Give me your hand asshole!"

Chuuya reached out for my hand using his ability and I knew he had the same thought as I did.

When the boss hit my bandaged arm he was surprised to find out I had a piece of metal hidden on my arm.

While he was distracted I ran up to Chuuya and took his hand breaking the subspace Rando created with his ability.

Before the boss disappeared I punched him one last time as a form of revenge.

Due to the subspace breaking the former boss also disappeared.

Everything was peaceful when I dropped the metal piece and walked over to Chuuya who was standing next to Rando.

"Why the metal?"

Chuuya asked still looking down at Rando.

"I'm not stupid. I always have a plan when I'm about to fight. Also who wears a cast for no reason?"

We then left and reported everything to Mori.

A month later I found out the sheep had worked with the GSS to catch the criminal.

When Chuuya was visiting Rando's grave his friends attacked him and he was stabbed by one of the sheep.

Yet when I came with the mafia he ordered not to kill the kids.

I didn't understand him at that time bit I still listened to him and we didn't harm any of the sheep kids.

To everyone's surprise Chuuya was taken in by the mafia after his friends abandoned him.

And that's where we started getting closer...

"Hey what are you doing there Chuuya?!"

I yelled as Chuuya was walking in the hallway if the port mafia with Kouyou on his side.

"What do you mean idiot?!"

I sprinted over to him: "What are you doing here with her?! You're MY dog remember?!"

We started fighting and got weird looks from Mori and Kouyou.

Q, the child we took in because of their dangerous ability looked at us with a confused look.

Kouyou ended up laughing softly at our childishness.

In that moment I knew I wanted to continue working for the mafia.

A/N:

Yeah this was the hardest part to write because I had to rely a lot on the canon story here. From now on it gets much easier and I'm not gonna write the whole canon story but maybe just some parts that are really important.
