When I was feeling better, I went over to the wash bowl and wiped my face. I look in the small mirror above and saw myself for the first time in two days. Swollen eyes from exhaustion And my hair looks like a rat's nest, Miles brought me some pants and a tight t-shirt that fit snug to me. I slip on my jacket that I left with and I sighed. My head was spinning from all of this, but I was ready to meet the rest of the characters.
Gavin came in to fetch me to meet Kyrian. He smiled at me and I followed him through a hallway.
"After this, when you decide what you want to do, you can head down to breakfast. The raisin rolls are good." He said. I smile at him.
"Yeah, they're your favorite." I blurted. He looks at me curiously. "How did you know?" I open my mouth to respond, but hesitated. "Uh, lucky guess." I laughed awkwardly, but he didn't seem to notice. I had better watch what I say before they know I am not what I seem.Gavin led me around a corner and opened the door for me. When I thanked him, he shut the door, quietly. Standing in the room was Miles, Liam, David, and of course, Finn. In the middle of the room sitting next to his desk, was Kyrian. He was everything I imagined. Young, good-looking, bulky, and extremely dangerous.
"Clara, I presume? It's nice to meet you, I am Kyrian." I know. He took my hand and kissed it softly in a gentlemanly manner. He gestured for me to sit.
"I wanted to ask you a few questions, if you don't mind?" He said. I glance at the young men behind me and Kyrian noticed my look."Don't worry. They're just here to make you comfortable. But if it doesn't, I can make them leave-"
"No. It's fine." I replied. Finn smiled assuring you.
"Now where are you from?" Kyrian asked. I think fast. "Um, I'm from a small town called Mystic Falls, it's in another country." Literally, I wasn't lying about that.
"Do you have any family?" He continued to ask. Finn was curious too.
"N-yes, I have a mom, but she is traveling at the moment." They all seem to believe me. "And do you understand what is happening in Sage?" Well, duh, I kind of made it happen. But I didn't say that."No, not really." I said. Kyrian nodded and started.
"Lord Silas Kai has taken over the court of Lords and he makes everyone in the city pay for overrated taxes, food, housing, you name it. It has gotten out of hand, he has been massacring villages and burning down peoples homes. In the past few months, he has been kidnapping and torturing information out of people, he knows that we, the Rebels, is what he calls us, knows that we give the people of the city hope and he hunts us down and try to destroy us.That's why we've been recruiting new boys, so they would help us. The king of Sage hasn't been doing anything nor knows anything about what's going on. Silas has been keeping him under his control and he sees everything, hears everything, and kills anyone who gets in his way. The King is old in his age and can barely govern the city, no disrespect, but if he does then Silas would overthrow the city. He will find a way how."
I thought about this, it is exactly how I wrote it, but what would happen to the story since I'm in it?
Everyone in the room was silent. Should I tell them who I am? Probably not. I don't know what to think anymore. I am the author, what if I can change things up while I'm in the story.A day here won't change anything in the story. Hopefully. When I find a way out of here, I'll make sure to write a happy ending for everyone.
"Now the boys were wondering if you wanted to join and help us beat Silas out of the city. It's your choice." Kyrian says. I sigh. I don't know how to get out of here but I can start by at least helping them."I'm in." I say. Everyone looks at me. "Are you sure?" Finn asked with a gleam in his eyes. I stare at him. "I am positive. I want to help take down Silas and restore the city." Miles grinned from ear to ear. "I knew it, I knew you would be useful! I knew it." Liam, David and Miles started talking at once. Finn looks at me and smiles, his teeth white and his eyes sparkled. Kyrian spoke loudly over them. "Okay, it seems we have a new recruit! Welcome, Clara, you may start training with the boys after breakfast." They clapped me on the back in congrats.
