Chapter 5
Why
I do not understand and a part of me just did not want to understand he asked me one more time if I was ready. I should have responded with yes, but I couldn't I was furious, confused and miserable. I could not take it anymore. I yelled at him, telling him how much he ruined my life, how much he took away everything I had left. My heart was slowly failing, I have nothing left for me.
I was surprised by his reaction, he just stared me up and down for around two whole minutes. I was perplexed. Why has he not said anything? He sat down in Infront of me and put out his hand out to me as though he wanted to shake my hand, but I did not understand, why? I put out my hand to see what happens and he shook it, as though we were friends, was I missing something? Before I could say anything, he pulled out his gun and threw it on the floor, I heard the pistol fall to the floor as I glared into his soul. The rest of them left the room leaving me with him alone. The only thing I could see was his eyes, they were a dark wooden burnt brown, full of evil, the rest of his face was covered in a black cotton ski mask.
He finally let go of my hand and laid back on the old white wooden chair, he did not break eye contact with me, not even for a second and so did I, I was curious and anxious to know what happens next, what was he planning on doing next?
I hated the silence, it was interrogating, leading me to tell him in a somewhat shaky voice
"what"
He broke the eye contact and looked down at his shoes as though he wanted to tell me something but could not find the right words.
"I told you to be ready," he said, his voice was like smooth sandpaper. I was confused as to what he meant leading me to speak without thinking in a confused tone I said
"huh" "ready for what"
"for this," he said
Nothing happened for a while he looked like he was overthinking something, wondering if he should do what he was talking about, he looked at me and in a shaky voice told me that he warned me.
He took off his black leather gloves, then the light turned off, it was dark, I was preparing myself, just in case anything or anyone tries doing something to me.
The lights opened it took me a while to comprehend where I was though I was in the same place. I started looking around wondering where he was. There he was standing still to my right side with his back facing towards me. He started speaking again.
" You are probably wondering why I did what I did, but I do have an explanation, you have to understand that I am helping you, helping you become a better person, a stronger person, you might not know who I am, and perhaps you think that I do not know who you are either, and for some reason, I decided to 'ruin' your life out of everyone else's life, but I am not"
He turned around to face me, he took off his ski mask whilst looking to the floor, I was anxious to know who he was, and what he was talking about.
He looked at me...
It was my brother...
Steven...
B-but he was dead, was I hallucinating before I could say anything or comprehend the situation one of them injected me on my neck with a fluid that made me feel dizzy and eventually fall asleep.
