"Lucky Charm" she called as she ran outside the building. In her hand appeared a red and black open lock, without a key.

As Ladybug looked around she quickly spotted the villain a few meters away, taking out her anger on having lost the hero on Alya, who had come to Chat's rescue.

As she was about to zap her best friend Ladybug caught the brunette with her yo-yo and brought her to her "Thank you" whispered the heroine while pushing her aside and creating a shield for them with her weapon.

"Anything for my best friend" answered Alya and quickly made her way inside the school as Ladybug covered her.

"Well look who came back" roared the villain, clearly frustrated "Changed your mind on running off did we?".

"I just wanna get this over with" answered Ladybug in a flat, angry voice. She looked around for ways to use her lucky charm, pretty soon a bench close to the villain lit up with her signature black polka dots, so did the necklace that hung around her neck.

She immediately understood, without saying another word she ran towards the bench as the villain sprinted towards the hero. Ladybug jumped on the bench and used the high advantage to make a backflip in mid air while the villain was right under her.

She reached out for the necklace using the open lock as a hook and snatched it off her neck. The villain quickly realized what had happened "Give me back my necklace" she roared as she threatened Ladybug with her scepter.

The heroine smiled bitterly "I don't think I will" she said as she threw the jewel on the ground and stomped on it. The villain fell to the floor as the black butterfly attempted to escape. Ladybug as usual purified the butterfly and made her way towards the woman.

"Hello Ma'm, you were akumatized, it's all okay now" she said in the sweetest voice possible even if she was still worried about Chat. "I-I'm so sorry, I hope I didn't cause to much trouble" apologized the woman while being helped up by the super heroine.

"Nothing that can't be fixed, can you get home on your own?" the woman nodded and Ladybug quickly bid goodbye and ran towards the school, her earrings beeping. She sprinted up the stairs and entered the janitor's closet where she had left Chat.

Alya was beside Chat, she had put a few towels under his head, but he was not moving. "Wait did you already use your Lucky Charm?" asked the brunette in a panicked voice but the heroine shook her head. "I just wanted to be here when he woke up" she said in a soft voice while looking at him. Alya nodded and got up "I'll leave you two alone, see you later?" Ladybug nodded and thanked her as she closed the door behind her best friend.

She knelt beside the boy and took a deep breath "Miraculous Ladybug" she exclaimed as she threw the lock in the air. For a few seconds everything stopped as Chat had not moved, she could feel her eyes fill with tears again. Then suddenly his chest started rising, Ladybug smiled and hugged him. "W-what?" he mumbled as he slowly opened his eyes.

Tikki flew out of Marinette's ears as the last beep rang. She barely noticed, she just held on tight to the boy, listening to his heart beating. He slowly got up on his elbows and Marinette let go "You stupid cat" she mumbled, smiling while silent tears streamed down her face. He smiled back at her and caressed her cheek "I love you more than anything else in this world, I would take a million hits for you M'lady" he whispered.

"I'm pretty sure you've already taken a million hits for me" she retorted with a mix of bitterness and happiness. "Well then I guess we have to make it a billion" he answered as he got closer to her.

Their lips lightly graced each other, but it wasn't enough for her. She took him by the collar and brought him closer as she passionately kissed him, to his surprise and joy. "I love you" she whispered in between breaths.

"Thank you so much Alya" said Marinette as she hugged her best friend. The brunette had just entered the girl's room, as promised she had come over to check up on her.

"It's nothing girl really" she answered as she returned the hug "But are you okay? You look pretty shaken". Marinette nodded as she they both sat down on her chaise lounge "What if one day I can't bring him back" she whispered, her voice unsteady.

Alya caressed the girl's blue hair "Soon there will be no more Hawkmoth to worry about, Duusu's cycle is only a couple of days away" she said in a sweet voice. Marinette was silent, enjoying her friend's affection, she didn't know that now Chat was not only her usual partner but also Adrien, the two boys she cared the most about were the same person, that scared her even more.

"Maybe it's time we start planning Marinette" suggested Alya after a while of comfortable silence. The bluenette agreed and dried a few tears that had rolled on her cheeks, Marinette briefly explained her plan.

After a moment of thought Alya asked "Wait what about me and Nino, you're gonna need back up" but Marinette shook her head "I don't want to put you two into danger, this is me and Chat's destiny, only we can do this" retorted the bluenette.

Alya scoffed "Marinette I don't care if it's your destiny, this is Hawkmoth, he has akumatized literal babies, he won't hesitate...hurting you to get what he wants". Marinette knew she was right, but just the thought of risking Alya and Nino terrified her, if she could she would go in her own, but she needed Chat.

"No Alya you can't come, that's final" said Marinette in the most placated voice possible. "Yes I am, I want to help you, I want to protect you!" answered the girl, rage and fear filling her voice. Marinette sat up "No, you are not coming, I am the guardian, I was chosen, that's it!" she couldn't control her self anymore, and neither could Alya "I am coming because I'm afraid that you two won't make it out alive" she blurted out.

For a moment there was total silence between the two of them until Marinette's shaky voice broke it "Only me and Chat will go, end of story" but she didn't receive an answer from her best friend, as she stormed out of the room
