Gabrielle is within possession of a mysterious symbiotic suit that gives her spider-like abilities. She was a college student who was very athletic and competitive in sports (volleyball). She enjoys playing volleyball, but on that unfortunate day, she suffers an accident (nosebleed) and passes out. Her parents, who were medical doctors with multiple PHDs, immediately looked over her and ran multitudes of tests.
Afterwards while on campus, Gabrielle's parents were being hunted down and her father bursts into her dorm room at the same time when the agents came onto campus grounds. Her father gave injected her with a secret serum along with a thumb drive. Then, the agents barges into the room, killing her father and wanted to apprehend her. Gabrielle's body transformed into a body suit that's from nanotechnology, but also hollow as she decided to escape the scene of murder.
She finds out later on the drive that her parents wasn't doctors, but scientists working for the government. She also found out as a baby, she was diagnosed with a rare disease and her parents spliced her DNA with a white widow spider in order to save her life as she also learned why her hair is white.
