Pan was on cloud nine.

Every day since that night under the full moon had been like a dream come true. Zemira was always in a good mood and back to her old self. She was the confident, leather wearing, sorceress that he knew her to be. And she was all his. Her mind was not full of pain. All of this warmed his heart. Her smile was more thrilling as any spell casting high.

"Where did you go?" Pan laughed as he entered the cove. He had followed her down there from camp. She had something to show him.

The sand crunched under his boots. The sun was high and shining across the clear blue sky and the wind had begun to pick up. Pan had been teaching her some of the tricks of magic for the island. The easy stuff like transporting, smooth creations, and of course location spells that were faster and easier then brushing your teeth. He searched with his mind for her magical presence. It shone brightest on the island, not only because of her magic but because of her true youth and the distinct female life signs.

Through his mind's eye he could see her, almost like a modern heat signature, under the water. Pan laughed and kicked off his boots and dove into the cool water of the cove. He had no trouble finding her. She was just beneath the water looking smugly at him. Pan hesitated slightly but not fast enough.

Sea weed shot out like torpedoes at him from all sides. They grabbed his limbs and threw him high into the sky. He flew out of the water and all of his clothes stuck to his skin. Just when he was about to experience the pull of gravity, he froze. All of his body was stuck in a fixed position about four feet above the water. Water droplets that had flown up in the air with him froze in their place. He couldn't move.

Zemira stood up closer to shore and wrung out her long hair that looked black because of the water. She was smiling over at him. Pan could do nothing but watch her as he stayed frozen. She had on a pair of shorts and an orange t-shirt that both clung to her skin. The wind became extra strong. Pan assumed she had used a spell to dry off. Sure enough she was dry a second later.

"I am really unimpressed," Zemira says after a long pause, "that was elementary." Her hip jutted to the side as she crossed her arms. Pan couldn't help but feel like the smug look paired with the hip action and the arms was pretty sexy.

"Underwater," Pan called over to her, unable to keep a smile off his face, "Not bad, I could have done it better," he said with a sniffle of his nose. Her jaw dropped in irritation, but her eyes held a touch of amusement in their exaggerated eye roll.

"Yea right! That's why I caught you in my trap!" she taunted.

"I saw it coming," Pan lied teasing her.

"Uh huh, sure," She said turning around and heading to her cave. Pan, even in his fixed positon, used magic to splash her with an extra strong wave, soaking her again. She froze and turned around with fake anger in her face. The look was closrer to what an irritated puppy had. Pan thought it was so cute. She stomped into the water and stared up at him with amused contempt. Pan let out a laugh. Then he whispered a few words.

Her freezing spell broke and he landed in the water next to her. She rolled her eyes. He grinned down at her. The blue eyes of hers slowly came to meet his eyes. He loved those eyes. Reaching out quickly he pulled her against him. She laughed. He leaned down and kissed her. She kissed back. The rest of the world melted away and it was just the two of them. His hand went up into her wet hair as he tried to memorize that moment as if he would never be able to kiss her like this again.

They slowly pulled away from one another. Her eyes shined up at him with love.

This was how it was meant to be. They were to be together like this forever. And nothing was going to take her away from him.
