Getting to the top

Saturday

"Wake up" my mom yelled. "We are going to practice all day today" she said. "Here's your breakfast" she said handing me and Leah a plate with bacon, a muffin and a cup with apple juice. She also handed me my phone. "You have to be finished by 11:15" Mrs. Feehan said. I looked at the time. I slept in till 11. "Okay." I said.

"Girls, get changed" my mom said. I got out my workout outfit and got changed. I put on my sneakers. "Kate, I got your hard and soft shoes" my mom told me. Leah and I headed out the door. "Let's take the steps" Leah said. We went down the steps and headed towards the practice room. Leah and I walked in and we put on our soft shoes. I put on reel.

"Girls, 2 more minutes" Mrs. Feehan told us. 2 girls walked in. I reconized both of them. The one was the one I saw at the feis tan place. And the other one is in my group for the oireachtas every year. I think her name is Evelyn Kennedy. "Kate, point your feet" my mom screamed. "Let's go" I said. I got my stuff and walked out. I found a water cooler and got some water. I walked back in the practice room where my mom still was still was sitting down. I watched the other 2 girls dance. They were pretty good. "Come on, let's go" I said. My mom and Mrs. Feehan and Leah got up. We went to the food table and we got some food. It was already 3:00 so all I got were 4 chicken fingers for me and Leah to share and a sprit. We went to the lobby and sat down at a table.

"Kate, I don't want you up to late tonight" my mom said. "You'll be tired tomorrow morning" she said. "What time do we have to wake up?" I asked. "You and Leah have to wake up at 4. And you have to take a shower tomorrow morning too. We have to go to the suite so I can do your hair" my mom said. "Who else is going to the suite?" I asked. "Leah, Colleen, and Alicia" she said. Alicia is one of my friends. Not my closest though. My best friend is Leah. "Okay" I said. "It's already 9:45 so I'm gonna get my pajamas on" I said to Leah. "Same" she said. We got changed and got into our beds. "Text me" Leah whispers me. "Ok" I whisper back. "Goodnight" I said. "Goodnight Girls" my mom said. "Goodnight Kate, Goodnight Leah they both say. I put my phone under my covers and text Leah.

I put my phone on the charger went to sleep.
