"Captain?" Aoi beckoned the quiet girl, "Do you not like the sushi?""Hm? Oh, no! I like it, it's suuper good." you grin, taking another piece into your mouth.
"That's good," your manager smiled in relief before turning serious again, "just because it's the holiday doesn't mean you can slack off in eating properly, okay?"
Your heart felt calmer looking at that all too familiar pout from her. Returning the smile, you nodded and began focusing on your food. Ever since Kageyama's call, you couldn't help but worry for him. You tried not to, since he seemed like he didn't want to talk about it, though it's kinda hard when he was sobbing and choking like that. It's Kageyama we're talking about here.
"Aoi-chan," Shizuo whispered, "what do you think?'
Aoi's expression harden, "I'm not sure, she still doesn't seem to wanna talk about it."
The two friends sighed in unison, knowing how you wouldn't tell them to not get them worried. But in the end, seeing you like this is enough to dampen their mood.
"What's wrong Aoi-chan?" Lev paused his udon to ask, "Don't like your food?"
Said girl cringed at how similar his words are to the ones she just said. It makes her more uneasy to think about the interaction with her Captain just now.
"Not the food, rather it's [Name] I'm worried about."
"Eh? [Name]-san? Does she not like her food?"
"No, I mean that she seemed to have something in her mind. She's been so quiet since we left Tocho."
"Maybe she's just tired."
Shizuo and Aoi shared a look before sighing yet again,
"I hope that's the case."
Both of them knew it's not something trivial. Seeing you unmotivated is not that rare, they see it all the time when you're holding a text book. Yet after what happened not too long ago, they knew this time you're going through something.
Lev went silent as he began observing you. You were talking with Alisa, laughing and enjoying your Unagi-Cucumber Roll. No matter how hard he stared at you, you didn't come off as down. It doesn't seem odd at all. Then again, the two girls had known you longer so it's probably something only they can notice.
"Lev," the blond beside him mumbled, "stop staring, it creeps people out."
"It's fine, she's busy watching Bokuto-san inhaled a whole maki-roll. Besides, I was just checking about what Aoi said."
Kenma shrugged and went back to his DS, not wanting to bother himself any further. He had been to busy with the device to noticed your behavior until the friend pointed it out. You did seem out of it for a bit, but Kenma didn't really worry about it. You seem like someone who can handle themselves properly.
"Bokuto-san," Akaashi nag as he pats his back, "you should never eat all of that in one go."
"I swear it seemed smaller when I hold it!!"
"That's a temaki, not your ego."
"Have some tea, Bokuto-chan." Alisa filled his cup with warm ocha. Worried lace the beautiful blue orbs.
"There's no cure in stupidity, I guess." Kuroo muttered as he finally finished his plate.
"Ahaha...at least it is entertaining to watch." you felt a bit sorry at the coughing guy, "When I first saw Bokuto on the court I always thought he might come off a bit goofy. It really brings up the atmosphere to the match."
