Beck Resolution

Jade's POV

Eve and I went to sit with Andre and Beck, who was talking about fish pee then Tori came and I could see her presence annoyed Eve.

"Hey guys," she said as she sat beside Andre "Dude" she looked at Beck "Look what's on the Buzzfinger page" she showed him her phone while I opened the app on her phone, Eve leaned over and saw the pictures as I scrolled.

"Oh, poor Jay Leno," He said after looking at Tori's phone.

"No, under that" she showed him the correct picture and laughed.

"That's you and Alyssa Vaughn, together!" She exclaimed.

"Oh" was all he said as he glimpsed what was on the homepage.

"No way!" Andre grabbed Tori's phone and stared in disbelief "That's Beck and Alyssa Vaughn, together".

"Why are you guys so impressed?" I watched as Eve was unaffected by the news and continued to eat her fries, she reached for her drink only to find it in Beck's hand, she waited until he took a sip and gave it back.

"'Cause Alyssa Vaughn is famous" Tori stressed.

"And hot" Andre added.

"Her father's a billionaire".

"And hot" Eve and I gave a weird look to that comment "Ah, I didn't mean her father is. I drank fish pee".

"Explain this" Tori demanded as she shoved her phone into his face.

"She's in my yoga class" he explained "Some paparazzi showed up and took that pic, but we're just friends".

"I'm sorry but who are you to demand him to explain things to you?" I interjected because I was honestly confused.

"I was just curious" she mumbled.

"That was more than curious, you sound like a weak-willed girlfriend that had caught her boyfriend cheating and doesn't know how to confront him".

"How is Everest cool about this?" they turned their attention to my sister.

"Simple, Beck doesn't need to explain anything to me because we are not together" she explained as she ate her lunch and there was silence at the table.

"Wouldn't you be jealous if you were his girlfriend?" Andre questioned.

"I don't know her so why should I be? What does she have that I don't?".

"Money"

"That is her father's, if he went bankrupt she would have nothing"

"Fans"

"Eve already has a fan club" I inputted turning my phone to show the Buzzfinger homepage with a half black and half white background, the word 'MONOCHROME' going across in the middle, with 'MONO' on the black side in white and 'CHROME' on the white side in black.

"I didn't know anything about that" they all took out their phones and looked for the page.

"18 million fans" Tori gasped.

"Anyways, I'm not insecure about myself so Alyssa Vaughn has nothing I want or need".

Beck's POV

I drove to the West's house as what Everest said played over in my head. I didn't like girls who didn't have any confidence in themselves or the relationship they were in, if they were insecure they'll become toxic and I didn't want that in a girlfriend. I wanted someone strong-willed but open to reason, someone, who could fight back when needed, I want her as smart as she is beautiful. I wanted Everest. I pulled up in the driveway, taking a deep breath I exit my car and went to the door, a minute later I rang the doorbell. I waited a while for the door to open and when it did there stood the biggest obstacle in every male's life. Fathers. Mr. West, Jade, and Everest's father stood at the door.

"Good evening Mr. West" I greeted holding out my hand.

"Ah, Beck, right?" he spoke as he shook my hand.

"Yes Sir".

"Well Beck, the girls aren't home at the moment but you can wait on them if you like" he motioned for me inside, I followed him ad found myself seated on the couch I sat on many times but now it was a different situation.

"Actually Sir, I came to see you" he looked at me emotionlessly but I could see the curiosity in his eyes.

"What for?" I took a deep breath and met his eyes.

"I would like your permission to date your daughter" the clocks ticking were the only sound in the room but I kept my eyes on his.

"I never thought you and Jade would end up together, you guys were like siblings".

"It's not Jade" he froze "It's Everest that I like" he sighed, then sat back in his seat.

"Jade told me you had an interest in Eve and she does too, she just doesn't know it" I was shocked at this new information "Eve is my little girl, I wasn't in her life and I didn't protect her for 15 years" he fiddled with the watch on his wrist "But I'm in her life now and I won't let anyone hurt her as they did before, my question is can you protect her?".

"I'll protect her the best I can" he nodded.

"Good but let me make this clear, for your own good don't be the cause of her pain" I stiffened at his warning but nodded, showing I understood his message "Then yes, if she says yes, you have my permission to date my daughter" I smiled then thanked him "The girls should be coming home by now so if you don't want them to know you were here I think you should head out, that and it's getting late, your parents wouldn't like you coming home late on a school night".

"Yes Sir" he led me to the door and I head to my car, when I was far enough I screamed at the success of the meeting, I drove home and jumped on my bed. Tomorrow I was going to ask Everest on a real date, I sat there for a few hours thinking about where to bring her when I remembered the arcade I frequently visited, and after I could take her to my favorite diner to eat dinner and dessert if she wants. I smiled as I finished planning.
