I sat watching as Sikowitz rambled on about today's topic Backstory, he was about to show us a video of an old movie he acted in when Sinjin came rushing into the classroom.
"Hi, sorry to interrupt!" he said.
"What is it, boy?!" Sikowitz asked.
"Mason Thornesmith is having a major press conference right now about the Platinum Music Awards" with that he rushed out the room.
"I got it, they're streaming it on The Slap" Robbie informed and everyone grew excited except for me, my mood since that day has been off, I rarely spoke and if I did it was mostly to Jay and sometimes Andre. Cat went onto the website and hooked up the live stream to the TV in the room.
"Last year, the Platinum Music Awards were watched by over two hundred million people, worldwide" the man probably the Mason person spoke, "And this year, I am very excited to announce that we will begin the Platinum Music Awards with a performance by a complete unknown" I rose a brow at this "Beginning now, we are conducting a worldwide search for a fresh young talent who will begin the award show with an original song and become an overnight music sensation" the reporters in the video were asking multiple questions at a time about the competition "Now, please hold your questions we'll be accepting online video auditions at "superstar bam" dot com, so all you young performers out there who feel you have superstar potential show us what you've got" then the press conference finished and everyone started murmuring amongst themselves but were cut off by Sikowitz who went on with his class. I watched the others leave slowly while he was talking, when he turned around he only saw Jade and me with a sigh he smiled at us before dismissing us.
Fixing my camera I played my new track and lost myself in my new song.

I finished the song and stopped the video, looking up when I saw Jay leaning against my door, I patted the space beside me and she sat.
"New song?" she asked and I nodded "About Beck?" I remained quiet and sent my video to the competition website.
"Did you do your video?"I diverted the conversation which I knew she noticed but didn't comment.
"Yeah" she laid her head on my lap "I'm worried about you Eve" I ran my hand through her hair "You haven't been this withdrawn since you first arrived here".
"I know" she looked up at my soft reply and her eyes widened.
"Oh god, Eve" she cupped my face and wiped under my eyes "You're crying" it was then that I felt the liquid run down my cheek "He hurt you badly, didn't he?" I tried to hold them back but my sobs broke through and she pulled me into her arms. This had been probably the 3rd time I had ever cried like this in my life.

Jay and I stood by my locker with me reviewing some notes and she, glaring at Vega and Beck, they were having some sort of conversation, well Vega was doing all the talking, but Beck wasn't paying attention.
"Why is he with her?" Jay asked and I shrugged "Does he not remember what she did to you?".
"That's his problem Jay" after crying myself to sleep I felt loads better and back to my normal self, well mostly. I closed my locker as the school doors opened and a crowd of people walked in with Lane leading them.
"Over there! Over there" Lane introduced confused "There's Tori!"
"There's my girl," another voice said "Where's the other one? Everest?".
"Over here" Jay called and a path was created, she pulled me towards the crowd with a camera aimed at me.
"There they are, my 2 girls" I rose a brow at the man then recognition flashed in my eyes as I identified him, it was the man from the competition everyone entered "Tori Vega and Everest West, how would you like to sing the opening number on this year's Platinum Music Awards?".
"Yes!!! Oh my gosh yes yes!!!" Vega shouted happily.
"Great, only one problem" her smile lessened "Only one of you can perform so why don't you both sing it out, and then we have everyone vote" Vega nodded eagerly.
"Wait a minute" Lane interrupted "Tori Vega cannot participate in this, she shouldn't have sent out her video in the first place" Vega's smile disappeared completely "She is being punished".
"That's too bad, anyway Everest West it seems like you are going to be singing the opening number at the platinum music awards" Mason turned to me.
"Cool" was my only reply and he smiled at me.
"Interesting, well we will be in touch" we shook hands and he left.
"Wait.........But.........I..." Vega tried to say something but was ignored and turned towards me "You did this".
"No, you did this to yourself" the bell rang and I saw Beck looking at me but I walked past him and head to my class.
