Marinette was walking along the streets of Paris, a good distraction from her problems at home. She could listen to the birds chirp for hours and watch the beautiful blue sky fade into a more black/ purplish look. Marinette thought everything about Paris was amazing, especially the Eiffel Tower when it lit up at night; the stars illuminating the midnight sky and making it that much more perfect. She continued to walk (that is after taking twenty-three pictures of the landscape and downloading them on to her iCloud)

She strolled along until she swore she heard a scream and faint whimpering. She saw four very suspicious men run out of an alley-way and another labored whine came from where the men had just left. She didn't know if it was in real life or just her mind playing a dirty trick on her but she followed her instincts and walked. She saw a dark casted shadow looming over what looked to be a boy. He heard the footsteps behind him and automatically assumed it was the men who attacked him. He tensed and started to tremble, not daring look at whoever was behind him.

She walked up to him and realized it was her kitty. Chat Noir had a stab wound around his stomach and whoever did this took the knife out, causing him to bleed a lot more. She knew how much pain her kitty was probably in so she adjusted him as slow as she could, trying not to cause anymore damage to Chat. She stroked his hair soothingly, feeling his trembling fade, and asked "What happened kitten?" Chat Noir knew that voice, "princess?" he replied weakly. "Chat!" she replied in excitement, then remembered their situation. "How about I get you home?" she said. He smiled weakly and bobbed his head up and down. He loved that Marinette called her home his home too, it was soothing. She gently picked him up and started to make the trek to her home.

She got there and slowly walked up the latter, making sure to not hurt her kitty in the process, and opened her door to her room quietly. She laid out a couple of towels on the floor and set Chat on them. He whimpered in pain at the movement, wanting to stay in her arms more than anything. She apologized and then asked again "What happened?"

(Flashback)

Chat Noir was walking down the street when he heard four men talking. He decided to listen in on what they were saying, as they looked suspicious. He heard the first man talking about his princess and that's when he decided to interfere. No one talked that way about his princess, liked they owned her. He started to attack them but didn't realize that the fourth was standing on the side, ready to attack him with a knife. Chat Noir noticed the forth man one second too late. He got stabbed. That was the last thing he remembered before everything went black and he hit the floor.

(End flashback)

"They were talking about you..... they stabbed me...." he replied weakly. "Kitty.... I'm so sorry" she said worriedly. He winced when he felt pain in his side from pressure on his wound. Marinette said "there! All done kitten!" She sat up the now very weary Chat Noir, leaning him against her. He felt her warmth and smiled. He felt safe around her so he started purring. She knew how exhausted he must be and personally felt tired herself. She put one of her arms underneath his legs and one on the upper part of his back. She lifted him onto her bed, laying his head on her chest. He started purring again when Marinette played with his hair. She wearily smiled, exhaustion taking over both of them. They both cuddled each other and fell asleep.
