"Jiminie!" Taehyung jumped on Jimin, exerting his full weight on the sleeping boy who thought Taehyung weighed like a feather.
"It's seven, Tae, seven in the morning. A time where no one should be awake," Jimin mumbled sleepily before rolling over, causing Taehyung to plop on the floor.
"Ouch, the disrespect you are showing to the future King is utterly unacceptable," Taehyung teased.
"Very well, if you insist, Your Majesty allow me to peacefully sleep, thank you very much," Jimin mocked, sarcasm dripping with every word before he buried himself back into his bedsheets.
"Hyung! I'm hungry and bored!" Taehyung whined.
"It's my fault for giving my room's spare key to him, I deserve this," Jimin groaned and his mind still hazy being half-awake. Jimin breathed out some vulgar words under his breath as he dragged his feet to look presentable.
In the Kim's palace, it was mandatory to have breakfast, lunch and dinner together. The unofficial rule was coined by their brother-in-law, Kim Seokjin seeing how everyone loved to eat and spend time together.
Taehyung and Jimin walked down the hallway to the patio where their family has already gathered.
Platters of food were placed neatly down the table and everyone was waiting for the two to come before they dug into the delicious array of food the chefs have made.
"Yah! I told you two yesterday to come earlier," Kim Seokjin pinched Jimin's ear as he ruffled Taehyung's hair.
"Eomma! Appa! Why does Seokjin hyung always bully me only?" Jimin rubbed his red ear as he glared at Kim Seokjin.
"Jinnie loves me more," Taehyung giggled.
"You brat," Jimin reached out to pinch Taehyung only to get his forehead flicked by Seokjin.
Taehyung stuck his tongue out at his brother watching him get tortured by Seokjin while his other brother Namjoon hyung tries to get his husband to calm down with his teasing.
Kim Areum and Kim Jaehyun looked just chuckled under their breath as they watched the boys get along with each other.
Were they royalty?
Yes.
Does that mean they don't get to cause a ruckus?
No, just within their own family.

Kim Namjoon was the oldest son of the Kims, addressed as His Highness, with the preordained role of the King after his father, King Kim Jaehyun hands over the crown. His younger brothers Kim Taehyung and Park Jimin were the Crown Princes of the nation, though Park Jimin is also destined to take over as King in the region of the Parks when his uncles hand him the crown.
Park Jimin is the son of the late Park Taemin and Park Minyoung. The Parks trusted the Kims the most and vice versa, them being close friends after all. Jimin came to live with the Kims and soon enough he considered them family and they did too, the Kims showing not a single ounce of hate but accepted him as if he was their own blood.
Jimin after much coercion accepted the crown prince title of the Kim region as the Kims tried to show their love for him. However, he still was the crown prince of the Parks and had a duty to his region to accept the crown when it is time until then he is happy with how life is currently playing out.
Kim Taehyung on the other hand was a free spirit, with the duty only to carry out his allegiance to the throne and to help the people in any way he can, his responsibilities set for him was comparatively smaller than Namjoon's.
The Crown Prince spent most of his time making flower crown in the meadow, reading books in the library, helping Seokjin cook and having fun with Jimin. He was shy, really shy. The only people he talked with was his family. People in the castle always internally cooed seeing Taehyung for his cute and shy nature.
"Your Highness, the Crown Prince is not in his room right now, I am sorry for the disturbance," The maid bowed down to Kim Namjoon before she attended to her numerous other duties.
Namjoon knew Taehyung must have been walking around the palace since Jimin was with one of the Park Ministers learning the ropes to become the future King.
Namjoon placed his glasses down bookmarked the page of the papers he was reading before setting off in search of his brother.
