"Absolutely not!" Cas stands sharply, knocking over his chair, "I won't- not after last year- no!"

"Daddy, calm down." I plead, "Come on, I'm dying in here. I have to fight! I'm not like Bobby, I can't read all day. I train every day but that's not enough. Please just let me go hunting."

"If you think that after a whole year of you being gone I'm going to let you back into the world that stole you from me-"

"Cas, she's right." Dad bites his lip, "She needs to be out there. I don't want her to be doing something she doesn't want to do."

"You're siding with her?" Cas turns on my father, blue eyes blazing with fury, "She could die out there-"

"She could die in here by stabbing herself while cooking you dinner. What do you wanna do, babe? Lock her up in a bubble and coddle her?" Dad sighs, "We can't protect her forever."

"And if you don't let me go I'll just go alone. Come on, let me go hunt again. Out of the state. Let's go hunt in Texas!" I plead, "I don't want to be in this damn bunker anymore."

"Fine. You're uncle and I will take you to Texas." Dean nods, "Tomorrow. We'll find a job. There's so much crazy crap happening in Texas, you won't even know what to kill."

"Dean!" Cas seethes.

"Castiel, I adopted children because I wanted to love them and raise them. She wants to be out there, in the impala, hunting, then that's what she'll get."

"Thanks dad." I grin, "I'll go pack."

"Sit down in that seat young lady." Cas orders, "Dean-"

"Cas, I love you, but you've got let her do what she wants." Dad brushes the hair out of Cas's face, "She's your daughter. Don't hold her back."

"Fine."

"Woo hoo!" I laugh, jumping up and running to my room.

Texas isn't like you see in the movies. No deserts, just cities. Well, what I've seen so far.

"Three bodies, all of them killed by loved ones. Tricky thing is, all the loved ones were out, with proof on tape, when the loved ones were murdered." Sam informs my dad and I, reading off his phone as we pull into a motel parking lot.

"Shifter?" I guess.

"Could be. But all the suspects were at the same bar when their spouses or family died. Suspicious?"

"Very." Dad turns off the car and climbs out, "You two get the bags and I'll check into a room."

"So." I open the back of the hatch after getting out of the car, "You've always been the brains of the operation?"

"Research was always my thing, yeah."

"But he's a genius." I shake my head, "He made the emf detector out of a Walkman, right?"

"Just because I was researching everything didn't mean he wasn't smart. I just preferred research to going out and talking to people. Your dad likes to be social. He used to flirt with almost every girl we saw-"

"Wait, girls?" I scoff.

"Your dad is bi." Sam raises an eyebrow, "No one told you?"

"Hell no, no one ever tells me anything other then the fact that I'm going to die." I snort, "Sorry, not funny."

"Yeah." Sam shakes his head, "But he fell in love with Cas."

"What're you two dorks talking about?" Dad saunters up, jingling the keys.
