The movie Hisoka had mentioned was a horror movie, probably chosen by Chrollo. Watching the movie had been quite boring.

y/n would have liked to pretend to be afraid to sneak into Chrollo's arms, but he would never have believed it since they watched horror movies together late at night since childhood.

And then there was Hisoka.

y/n was terrified that that jerk could tell Chrollo what had happened in the guest room.
She should have been more careful, but Hisoka shouldn't have entered the room as if he had the right to.

But Hisoka hadn't opened his mouth since she walked into that room, despite throwing her a tidal wave of provocative looks and mischievous smiles.
For a second she met his gaze and she thought she saw him miming something like "changed your mind about my proposal?"

That boy would have driven her crazy.

«Did you like the movie?» Chrollo whispered, focusing his dark eyes on the girl's.

He was lying on the bed with only the sheet on. And he wasn't wearing a T-shirt... Which put a strain on y/n's ability to concentrate.

The girl nodded absently and smiled at him.

«You're lying. You didn't even pay attention to it. I saw you, you know? You seemed thoughtful.»

Yes, I was thinking about how to confess that I have loved you for a lifetime before your best friend tells you that he saw me touching my boobs thinking of you in your house.

How could she have said that without sounding like a maniac?

«I was just worried about you. You didn't eat much for dinner,» she lied.
She was immediately glad she had lied when she saw the ravenhead smile.

«I wasn't very hungry... But I'm fine. I'm sorry I didn't notify you beforehand of their presence»,

He was obviously referring to Hisoka and Illumi, who luckily would spend the night in the guest room while she and Chrollo slept in the boy's room.
They hadn't bothered her much after the movie; they had holed up in the room as quickly as possible.

«It's okay...»

«No it is not. I'm really sorry. I promise I'll fix it as soon as we have some time to be alone.»
y/n had no idea what it meant, but she couldn't help but smile.

The clock on Chrollo's bedside table showed four o'clock in the morning. It was the second time y/n woke up after falling asleep for the first time, but she just couldn't keep up asleep. The fact that Chrollo wasn't in the room didn't help her relax.

In fact, since she had opened her eyes, she hadn't seen him on the bed. Initially she thought he had gone for a drink or to the bathroom, but it had been more than fifteen minutes.

Now she was starting to get seriously worried.

Trying to make as little noise as possible, she got out of bed and put on Chrollo's slippers, then looked around one last time before stepping out into the corridor.
She heard voices coming from the balcony attached to the kitchen, so she headed there.

Chrollo was on the balcony and he wasn't alone. Hisoka was with him and they were smoking.
She did not know that Chrollo smoked. She wasn't disappointed that he did; she was disappointed that he had kept it from her, almost as if he feared she might judge him.

But she loved him!

This reminded her that she hadn't been able to tell him yet. She had completely forgotten about her failed confessional attempt since that incident with Hisoka.
Maybe she could have told him tomorrow...

«How about tomorrow?», it was Chrollo's voice.

y/n hid behind the sofa and tried to breathe more slowly not to let the boys understand that she was eavesdropping.

«Don't bother asking Illumi. Let's make it to my house,» Hisoka replied, taking another drag of his cigarette.

Perfect, so Chrollo would be busy the next day too.

y/n was such a loser.

«Are you sure? Well. I'll go to the bathroom then».
The girl covered her mouth as Chrollo passed, fearing that her own breath would betray her. But the ravenhead left the room without any problems, and she saw the bathroom light come on after a few seconds.

«You are invited too, y/n. You don't need to hide behind the sofa, I don't want to make you feel left out,» Hisoka whispered in his usual haughty air.

y/n mentally cursed herself before getting up and going out to the balcony with her arms crossed, so much so by now he had seen her.

That boy almost seemed to be a magician.

«How long have you known I've been here?»

«It does not matter. Do you know what's important instead? That you can't confess to Chrollo if you keep acting like this. Someone like him receives dozens of love confessions a day. Why should you be different from the others?»
It was clear that Hisoka was trying to provoke her.

«Because I'm his best friend and I know him better than anyone else,» she replied calmly.

Hisoka chuckled and shook his head.
«You are too shy and naive.»

Before y/n could fight back, he stopped her by pulling her to him by her hips.

«If you want Chrollo to care about you, you have to be more... Like you were when I found you in the guest room... Come to my house tomorrow and I'll give you some tips about it,» he whispered before nibbling her earlobe.

y/n wanted to push him away, but before she could, Hisoka had already disappeared in the corridor.

For the second time of the day, he had provoked her and then left her alone.

For the second time of the day he had left her speechless.
