Marik's Taunt

Hiei, he was nearby. Please help me, I bit my lip and held back any noise he wanted from me. Sinking into myself. I know how to do this. I don't have to be here for this. I have to stop thinking, stop feeling, just stop... stop existing. Disappear Nuni, it'll be okay. Hiei will bring you back. Right? He'll bring me back I don't have to start over. I don't have to be broken again... right?

Nuni! Hiei reached for me. "Hiei!" I screamed for him. Marik's smile never left his face. Like he knew something I didn't. he lowered his mouth to my ear.

"Good girl." His hands grabbed at me. "After this... we're going to play a game."

I set my jaw and glared through my tears. "Hiei is going to kill you."

He smiled down at me. "We'll see about that."

Hiei

I still had my strength. That wasn't gone but there was something stopping me from getting out of this... bubble. Like I needed a password. To come out.

"I lay my demon down in attack mode and attach his sword." Nuni's voice!

A moment later the bubble broke. I felt my body shifting my power surged. I was stronger than ever before. in front of me, was a grotesque demon I had never seen before. I couldn't begin to name it but if this is what Nuni was talking about, I'd kill it.

"Hiei!" Nuni? She stood behind me with a handful of cards. There was a bruise on her face, her smile was drenched in relief and she stood... like someone had hurt her. I turned back around to the demon... and Marik. He only wore a pair of shorts and there was a red mark on his face like he had been slapped. He smirked at me.

"Have you had a chance to enjoy her yet?" His smile grew with my temper. "You're really missing out, she's a wild one."

I clenched my sword in my hand. "By the time I'm through with you Marik... you'll beg for death." I lunged... or tried to.

"You have to wait for me to tell you what to do." Nuni's voice shook. "It's a shadow game, we have to follow the rules or we lose." She looked in Marik's direction but not at him. "With that, I'll end my turn." I could still feel her, her soul was in pieces... he broke her. No... I refuse. He can't break her, she's too strong for him. She's too strong to be broken so easily. She'll be fine. Once I kill him she'll be fine.

I have i don't know if I'll start the next book anew or if I'll just continue it in here. 

the next arc will be the decision between Hiei and Atem. 

both of them have to mess up a little but that would be on the shorter end so IDK i might just put it in here. 

Side Note:

I picked up my little baby, her name is Posie and she looked dead when I got her. the breeder let her starve and dehydrate. none of the other puppies i saw looked like they were having a problem but Posie might not make it.

I'm going to go live with her during playtime on my days off. she's not out of the woods yet but as long as she wants to fight I will give her what she needs. 

I've never seen a puppy in such horrible condition in person. I have had two vets recommend euthanasia as an option. she may have distemper. her tests were hard to run because she was so dehydrated. She is eating and drinking now and she's running around. So I have hope but I am also aware of the survival rate for a puppy as young as she is. 

the vets placed her more along the lines of 5-6 weeks rather than the 8 weeks I was told she is. I'll try to keep updating but she is my priority right now.
