It was a warm summer day and you were just enjoying it along with your boyfriend David. He had surprised you by taking you to a field filled with an endless variety of flowers. To say that you were delighted was an understatement.

Currently, David was sitting in the blanket he had laid for both of you, playing random notes on his guitar. The background music felt nice as you were deeply concentrated making a flower crown.

After some minutes, David looked up from his guitar. He smiled when he saw the tip of your tongue coming out from your mouth and your eyebrows furrowed as you tried to make a knot between two flowers. His heart beat a bit faster when you smiled a toothy grin having being able to tie both flowers.

"Where did you even learn to do that?" David tried to deteer his thoughts about how absolutely adorable you looked.

"Hmm?" You looked up from your ongoing creation and met his blue eyes. "Oh! I read a magazine the other day where the process was explained. I thought it'd be cool to try it out!"

David chuckled at your excitement and left his guitar by his side. He tucked his knees up to his chest so he could rest his chin on top of them. He could not stop admiring how your fingers moved while you kept making the flower crown. How some of your hair strands moved along with the light breeze that was blowing through the field. How had he been so lucky?

"Done!"

Your sudden voice tugged him out of his own head and he looked up to see you holding the finished flower crown.
You moved towards him and he tensed a bit at your closeness. He was sure you could see the blush covering his cheeks.

You saw it, you just decided to ignore it so he didn't have to suffer at your teasing.

When you pulled away, he noticed a light weight on his head. He touched as gently as possible and smiled at you.

"Do you like it? I think I should've put flowers of the same colour but it still looks pretty. At least, that's what I think..." Suddenly shy, you looked away.

"I love it." You widened your eyes a bit surprised. "And I love you, my little sunflower."

Having said those words, David tackled you taking you by surprise. You fell on your back with him on top of you peppering kisses all over your face.

You laughed and finaly captured his lips in a passionate kiss, tangling your fingers on his brown hair while he melted against you, just enjoying the moment.

The flower crown rested by your side, its petals slowly flying away as the breeze carried them far away.
