Rosabella's Point of View:
Exhausted but delighted with our night's work, Harry and I stumbled up to the boys dormitory. I slept in one of Harry's shirts and I was too tired to care about Seamus and Deans shocked expressions when I got up the next morning.
"No we didn't do anything but sleep. A word of this to Michael and you'll be spending the rest of the year in the hospital wing." I said to them.
I heard Harry tiredly chuckle. I left the boys dorm and went up to the girls dormitory. Winter bounded over happily to me, tackled me and locked me all over the face. I stroked and hugged Winter. Lavender and Pavarti had already left.
Hermione raised a a curious eyebrow at me. I shook my head and started to get ready.
"You don't need to worry about Lavender and Pavarti spreading gossip. Lavender is too preoccupied in her own love life." Hermione said and she tried to hide her smirk.
I raised an eyebrow at her as I brushed my teeth.
Hermione and I then went to Charms with Harry and Ron.Harry and I told Ron and Hermione everything that had happened during the Charms lesson, having first cast the Muffliato spell upon those nearest them. They were both satisfyingly impressed by the way Harry had wheedled the memory out of Slughorn and positively awed when we told them about Voldemort's Horcruxes and Dumbledore's promise to take Harry and I along, should he find another one.
"Wow." Ron said, when Harry had finally finished telling them everything.Ron was waving his wand very vaguely in the direction of the ceiling without paying the slightest bit of attention to what he was doing.
"Wow. You're both actually going to go with Dumbledore . . . and try and destroy . . . wow." Ron said.
"Ron, you're making it snow." Hermione said patiently, grabbing his wrist and redirecting his wand away from the ceiling from which, sure enough, large white flakes had started to fall.
Lavender Brown, I noticed, glared at Hermione from a neighboring table through very red eyes, and Hermione immediately let go of Ron's arm. I looked between them. Hermione had said something about Lavenders love life.
"Oh yeah. Sorry . . . looks like we've all got horrible dandruff now. . ." Ron said, looking down at his shoulders in vague surprise.Ron brushed some of the fake snow off Hermione's shoulder Lavender burst into tears. Ron looked immensely guilty and turned his back on her. Harry and I looked at each other completely perplexed.
"Uh . . . did we miss something?" I asked Ron.
"We split up. Last night. When she saw me coming out of the dormitory with Hermione. Obviously she couldn't see you, so she thought it had just been the two of us." Ron told Harry and I out of the corner of his mouth.
I mouthed 'oh' and looked at him sympathetically. I also felt bad for Lavender.
"Ah. Well - you don't mind it's over, do you?" Harry said.
"No. It was pretty bad while she was yelling, but at least I didn't have to finish it." Ron admitted.
"Coward." I teased him.
Hermione nodded, though she looked amused.
"Well, it was a bad night for romance all around. Ginny and Dean split up too, Ro." Hermione said.
"Really? Well, I'm not surprised, they've been tense around each other for awhile. Why did they split up in the end?" I said.
"Oh, something really silly. . . she said he was always trying to help her through the portrait hole, like she couldn't climb in herself . . . but they've been a bit rocky for ages." Hermione said.I glanced over at Dean on the other side of the classroom. He certainly looked unhappy.
"Well, glad we were immune to this ending of couples night, Harry." I said.
"Wait, where we in danger of that?" Harry said looking wildly around at Ron for help.
Hermione laughed.
I wrapped my arms around Harry's shoulders and kissed his cheek.
"No, we weren't. I was just teasing." I said.
"Of course, this puts you in a bit of a dilemma, doesn't it?" Hermione said.
"What d'you mean?" Harry said quickly.
"The Quidditch team. If Ginny and Dean aren't speaking. . ."Hermione said.
"Oh - oh yeah." Harry said as he struggled to focus because I may or may not have been kissing just under his earlobe.
"Flitwick." Ron said in a warning tone.
I reluctantly pulled away from Harry.
