Laxus' POV
I wasn't quite sure what to think when I saw Lucy in pain on the ground with all the dragons huddling around her. It was simply surprising to say the least. I knew getting stronger was something- but this is hurting her a lot.
"What's going on?!" I questioned quite loudly, may I add.
"Lucy wanted to learn a new technique. She was aware this would happen.." Bloom said training off.
"B-But this? This is hurting her!" Mira said through her tears.
"There's nothing we can do, other than wait. This was her choice. She will be fine soon enough. I promise you that." Zirconis said, slightly reassuring us that she will be okay in the end.
"As long as she's fine. I guess that's all that matters in the end." Tyson added.
-Time skip-(Lucy is in her bedroom)
We were all sitting in the large living room. Us, the training group, and the dragons. It was then, that I had noticed that we don't even know what new technique she was learning anyway.
"What new technique is she learning anyway?"
"We told her some of it. We thought she was ready. What we told her is that she'll be able to turn into a real dragon. Which is partially true. She's basically be able to turn into any form of magic she uses you could say. I'll give an example. She uses fire demon slaying magic. She'll be able to turn into a fire demon, like her magic entitles. However, this time, since she is able to turn into her magic's form, she has about double the strength. She needs to master it first. This type of magic is one of the hardest to master, especially for someone who knows as many different types of magic as her. She'll have to be able to turn from one form to another, then back to her original. She'll still be able to use her different.. looks if you could say when using the dragon slayer magic. This is kind of like lost transformation magic." Grandeeny explained.
Gasps were heard from most of us during this.
"So she's going to be that powerful? No way anyone can catch up to her then." I muttered.
"That's really what you're thinking about? Catching up? That's productive. Maybe instead you should be thinking about her being in pain right now!" Tyson said also half screaming.
I glared at Tyson.
"Calm down guys, she'll be just fine." Electrica reassured.
Lucy's POV
I still felt pain. Not as much as before though. I slowly opened my eyes and soon realized I was in my room. How'd I get here? I was probably brought by the dragons or my rushing friends.
I now noticed I was very hungry. I don't know how long it's been since I've been out, but it's dark outside right now. Everyone is probably sleeping.
I walked down stairs and went to the kitchen. What should I get..?
"Would you like anything Princess Lucy?" a maid questioned.
"Yes please. Maybe just some food and water. Sorry to trouble you." I replied.
"It is fine Princess. I'll be right back. You go sit down." She smiled.
"Thank you." I smiled back. I went to go sit down at the table.
"Lucy? What are you doing up?" I heard someone say.
I turned around and saw Igneel.
"Hello Igneel. I just woke up and was a bit hungry. How about you?" I asked.
"Same thing. I came for a late night snack." He laughed.
I laughed. "As expected. Can I ask you a question?" I said.
"You just asked one. But another would be fine I suppose." He grinned.
"Did I worry everyone too much?" I asked looking down now.
"Well of course they would be worried seeing their friend in pain on the ground. After we had brought you up to your room, and went back down stairs everyone was very worried and on edge. A couple people had offered to stay with you for the night, but I said you'd be fine. It would be best to see everyone later on." Igneel answered.
"Wow, so I did worry everyone a lot. I'm sorry for worrying you also. I'll apologize to everyone tomorrow in the morning. I hope I didn't cause that much of a hassle for all of you." I said looking down.
I'm a little sad that I caused so much worry for everyone. I should have thought about the outcome a little more.
"Apology accepted Lucy. I didn't worry that much. You're strong enough to overcome something like that." Igneel smiled genuinely.
"I also want to thank you. I never got the chance to. You and everyone else were there for me when most of my guild wasn't. I don't know what I would have done without you or any of the others. You all kept me from slipping into the darkness." I said truthfully.
"No worries Lucy. We were there for you because you're our friend. We thought of you as family from the first moment you were brought here by Aphrodite." Igneel said.
We both got our food and finished it not long after. I was really happy to have such an amazing group of people as my family. I don't think I would want to be anywhere else. I trudged up the stairs after saying goodnight to Igneel, and soon drifted off into a peaceful sleep.
