Chapter 4

Lucy's POV

I felt someone tapping me. A small finger... Furry. Who the hell is poking me..? I decided to ignore it so I just groaned and turned around.

"Lucy, you must at least meet your exceed." Somebody said. Who's that?

The events from yesterday flashed over again and I jolted up. I saw my mother with a golden exceed. The exceed had black tips on it's ears and also had black paws. I also noticed the little black star above it's eyes. The exceed was wearing a burgundy t-shirt. From what I could tell it was a guy.

"Oh hello, I'm Lucy what is your name?" I asked being polite.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Tyson, or your exceed. I really hope we get along." The small exceed cheerfully said. So cute!

"This exceed is special. For one he's a royal exceed. He's also linked to you so you both have the same abilities." My mother said with a smile.

"Okay! I could use a good friend and partner." I said shooting a large smile at the already smiling exceed.

"He can also transform into a human. Not for long, but he has the same magic you learn as an exceed or not." she said again.

"I'll let you both talk here for 15 minutes and then you have thirty minutes to get ready." she ordered.

"Okay Mama. Can't wait to train." I said.

My mother left the room and I just motioned for the exceed to come towards me and sit on the bed. He came with a little hesitation but none of the less, he still came over here.

"Is it okay if I call you Ty?" I asked.

"Sure! I'll call you... Lu! That's perfect!" the cat said excitedly. I just laughed and I knew we were going to be the best of friends. He's already really nice and cheery.

"Okay, well I'm going to get ready for our training. I think we may have to spend quite a while in this realm so you can make yourself at home here." I said.

I walked off to the bath. I quickly took a 10 minute bath and came out in a towel. I walked over to my closet and picked out my training outfit. It consisted of black sweatpants, a white v-neck, my hair in a high pony tail, and finally some grey high rise converse. I think I looked fine for training so I just walked out of my closet.

"Okay come on Ty, we're gonna go train now!" I said excitedly with a squeal coming right after.

"Let's go Lu!" He said just as excited as me.

We walked downstairs and out to the court yard where we would be meeting our first trainer. Just as I turned the corner I saw a dark purple dragon. The dragon was probably Poise.

"Hello, princess. You'll be training with Poise first." Aphrodite said.

"Okay, let's get to it!" I yelled with a lot of enthusiasm.

"Okay Lucy, get on my back so we can fly to my island." Poise said.

I did what I was told and sat down on his back. I held on as we flew in the air. Once I was comfortable I put both my hands up and felt the breeze. Ty was laying on my head so he was fine. He looks comfortable enough. I looked around to see all the floating islands and floating river. It reminds me a lot of Edolas. It was beautiful though. As I admired the scenery, I finally noticed that we had gone to an island. It was made of mostly rock. The rocks had purple swirls in them. It was beautiful none of the less though.

"Okay so first things first we will start off with the roar. To master the roar you must believe that you are capable of it and imagine yourself doing it. Mostly, you must be able to aim at your target correctly. Try that huge rock over there." Poise finished.
