In this chapter Roman is a model, and it's the day before he has a huge modeling gig. This chapter talks about body image and s! harm. Please be cautious when reading because I know this type of stuff can upset viewers or make you feel bad about yourself, so I just want you to know to be careful when reading, please. I know from experience that being comfortable with your body is hard to do a hundred percent of the time, I know from experience. Just know you are perfect no matter the stretch marks, scars, or imperfections, even if you don't think so someone else will. If you can do something for me quickly, I'd appreciate it. Go stand in the mirror, look at yourself, and say I'm pretty because you are. We're our own harshest critics, you can do this. You are loved and you are beautiful, just the way you are. i say as i project my insecurities onto roman XD💜💜💜💜

Everyone in the mind palace (as they called it) was downstairs eating. Well, mostly everyone, Roman was nowhere to be found when Patton called them down for breakfast, all the others were there. It was weird for them considering they all normally eat together; Patton had suggested it so they could get to know each other more when they all first moved in, but after a while, it became a habit. It became a family breakfast after a year or two and dinner with each other every night, no one ever missed it unless they were bedridden sick or injured. They had waited five minutes but still no Roman, so their breakfast routine continued like normal. The conversation was normal, their boyfriends, their jobs, what was new in their lives and they were all just absent-mindedly talking when ten minutes later the soft padded footsteps on the stairs let them know Roman was coming down. Something was off about him though, just by looking at him you could tell. Well at least Logan could, the others hadn't noticed the change, after all, why would they? It was the tiniest thing ever that not even a mouse would notice, but it was big enough to not be normal for him. But Logan knew Roman the best, and something wasn't right.

Roman was wearing a baggy long sleeve and gray sweats that were also much too big for him, this was weird to Logan because Roman despised clothes that he called "unflattering". He always wore clothes that showed off his body because he said if you got it to flaunt it and with him being a professional model, he definitely had it, he also he had his headphones on which he rarely had them on if he knew he was going to be talking with people, he thought it was rude because you were just blatantly ignoring them. Patton smiled upon seeing him, Roman however still had the same blank expression but now pulled off his headphones, a sign that at least he was sorta still in the right mindset. " Hey Roman! I made some pancakes if you want some, they're the tastiest in all the land! I have a few left if you wanna-" He nodded towards Roman's seat at the end of the table. Roman shook his head interrupting Patton, another thing Logan found weird, Roman would never interrupt someone ever. "I'm okay but thanks anyway padre." He reached and grabbed an apple from their fruit basket about to head back up to his room to eat his very small breakfast when Logan motioned for him to come to sit.

Roman slowly made his way over but didn't sit clearly not wanting to be downstairs for long, "What's up?" His voice sounded bored and uninterested. Logan gently grabbed his boyfriend's hand and pulled him down so that he was squatting, so that he could talk to Roman without the others hearing. "What's up? Come on, what's up with you? You okay?" Roman nodded, "Of course I am, why do you ask?" Logan watched as Roman tugged his shirt down trying to cover his stomach more, and noticed he was very quick to answer the question, almost like he had an answer prepared in case he was asked. He could hear Roman's music through his headphones and realized that something was definitely wrong, it was a playlist Roman only played when he wasn't a hundred percent okay. It was his breakdown playlist. Roman was starting to get fidgety and Logan realized they needed to talk, Roman was obviously hiding something from him. He didn't want to cause a scene however because he knew that would only make Roman feel even worse about whatever was going on. Roman didn't like to make a scene even if it was not his fault. "I-I don't know, no reason I guess. Head up and I'll be in the room in a minute, okay baby?" Roman nodded and pulled his hand out of Logan's, quickly running back up the stairs as fast as he could. It was clear he really didn't want to be downstairs.
