"Watch where your going!" An old man shouts as I try to shove my way to the counter of the busy coffee shop. "I'm sorry!" I shout back trying to avoid shoving anyone else. I finally reach the counter and a young man is all over the place pouring coffee and putting muffins and other desserts into little pink bakery boxes. I smile at his carefulness and how attentive he is to his job.

I don't know how long I'm staring when his voice breaks my reverie. "Can I help you miss?" He asks politely his brown eyes staring at me, awaiting my answer.

"Huh?.. Ohh right, sorry I was just here to get my order. You called my number." I stammer out embarrassingly. He is smiling at me like my every word and move amuses him. "Yeah well here's your caramel coffee miss." He says handing me my warm cup. When our hands touch my arm erupts in goosebumps and I jerk back, luckily not dropping the coffee everywhere. "Thanks." I say walking away quickly. I could hear the faint laughter from the cute waitor and I thought to myself how pleasant the sound really was.

When I get into my car my phone starts ringing so I quickly grab it. "Hello." I say into the phone setting my coffee into the cupholder and starting my car.

"Hey! Where are you? Our eight o'clock class starts in literally ten minutes." My college bestfriend Amy exclaims into the other end. I can tell she is frustrated, I had already missed this class twice and it was becoming a bad habit.

"I'm on my way I swear. I promise it won't take me very long at all just save me a spot Ames." I say quickly before hanging up on her midsentence. I throw my phone into my purse and speed off towards Boston University. I had been going on my second year and I still wasn't sure what I wanted to be yet.

Almost all my friends have it figured out and I'm just living life day by day. I try to focus on my present life rather than the future, because the future scares me.

When I pull up to campus I still have a few minutes to get to class, I park my car and get out, except right when I turn the corner I am knocked to the ground.

"Woah I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention-" I ramble off midsentence when I see that the person I ran into is the cute waiter, only now his apron is gone.

"Don't worry about it, maybe you can make it up to me by going to dinner sometime?" He asks confidently. I feel like someone has cut the line from my brain to my mouth because I'm so shocked that he has actually asked me out.

I finally get a grip and answer him while standing up and dusting myself off. "Yeah I think that's the least I could do." I say trying to sound flirty. He grins and his whole face lights up, he runs a hand through his black messy hair and then holds it out to me. "My names Lance, I haven't really seen you around?" He says surprised.

"I haven't seen you around campus either. My name is Maggie, it's been nice meeting you I'd really love to keep talking, but I have a class that started about five minutes ago." I say sadly. He laughs and nods in understanding. "I'll catch you later Maggie, try to watch where your going." He backs away winking at me.

I walk into class my face aflame and take a seat next to Amy. I am relieved that my teacher wasn't paying attention so I just sneak into my seat. "Why are you all red, and what happened to "I'll be there any minute?" She mocks me, smiling and I slap her arm.

"I ran into the cutest guy Ames! You won't believe it, I'll tell you everything after class." I say trying to keep the butterflies out of my stomach for just until this class is over so I can focus. I feel like a teenager in high school again.

"You better Mags, I've been waiting for you to finally meet someone ever since you and Brady broke up." I flinch at his name but I refuse to let it ruin my good mood. I just keep replaying this morning over and over in my head.
