"What's your favorite food?" He asks me as we climb into his truck. I put my seatbelt on and look up to Lance staring at me.

"Anything is good with me. I'm not picky." I say trying to relax my nerves. He just laughs and starts the car. It doesn't take long before we are parked outside of a fancy Mexican restaurant.

"Is this okay?" He asks shyly and expectantly. I just nod and he climbs out and meets me at my door to help me do the same. We walk up to the entrance of the restaurant and he holds the door open for me as I walk in. The smell of tacos and different spices all come at me and I feel my stomach growl in response.

"Good evening, table for two?" A young waitor asks us.

"Yes please." Lance says politely, guiding me with his hand on the small of my back. We take a seat in a colorful booth and the waitor takes our drink order before leaving us alone.

"You look very beautiful tonight." Lance says breaking the silence and bringing a smile to my face. He slides his hand over mine and it calms my hectic nerves.

"Thank you, you look very nice dressed up. I was surprised when you asked me out, but I am glad you did." I say to him as his fingers intertwine with mine.

"I'm already having a great night. Why were you surprised I asked you, a very beautiful women, out to dinner?" He asks me a grin spreading across his face. I feel butterflies erupt in my stomach and I try to keep my voice steady as I speak. "I guess because I'm not really the girl that guys usually ask out." I feel shy after I've said this, but he immediately crushes my inner conflict with myself.

"Well thank god I did, because the date just started and I already feel like the luckiest guy alive." He smiles at me and I want to kiss his perfect lips more than anything in this moment.

Our food comes and we talk and talk while we eat. We don't talk about anything too serious, just the normal stuff when getting to know someone. It's nice not having to think too much and to just enjoy myself.

"So you had a good time?" Lance asks me as we sit in his truck in front of my sorority house. It is my second year at a sorority and I really enjoy it. The girls of Zeta Capa really make me feel important and that I have a place where I belong.

"Yes, this was the best date I've had in a while." I admit honestly. He smiles, his brown eyes crinkling up at the corners and his perfect teeth showing. "I know what you mean Maggie. Would you like me to walk you up?" He asks me turning off his truck.

"No thank you Lance, the girls of my sorority are probably asleep and I don't want to wake them." I say stupidly, him walking me up to the door wouldn't wake them, I just really felt sick all of sudden.

"Oh okay sure." He says dissapointment in his voice, starting his truck back up. I smile weakly at him as I climb out of the truck. "I'll text you!" I yell over the roar of the truck.

When I get into the Zeta Capa building I headed for the bathroom. I tried to be quiet when I threw up the meal I'd had tonight. Even though I was now tired I knew a shower would make me feel physically better it always does. As for emotionally I was upset about how the night ended. The date had been so amazing and now I had probably disappointed him.
