"So would you consider each other as rivals?"

"Hm, I never thought of it like that but yeah."

"Sakusa doesn't seem like the type to admire someone, especially you." Fujiwara teased, glancing at Y/n, who's mind seem to be somewhere else, deadpanning at how quick she could loose interest in the conversation. "Y/n." she tapped her shoulder as they entered the hotel.

"Huh— oh sorry..what we were you saying?"

"Just go nap, we'll need you tomorrow and we definitely don't want a sleepy Y/n. Shower first." Ayano shoved her into the showers, putting her clothes onto the counter.

"You have favorites.."

"I do not."

"You definitely do.."

———

Y/n couldn't sleep last night as she was too busy catching up on a show she had to finish watching, resulting her to be lectured by Ayano. "How many times do I have to tell you? You can't watch your shows before our games. And why didn't one of you take her phone—"

"You guys treat me like a kid, it's so insulting." Y/n crossed her arms as they entered the gym. "You act like one Y/n."

"I do not—! I'll just go practice.." she grabbed a ball from the cart, bouncing it a few times before she threw in the air as she ran, jumping up high, smacking the ball down with her left hand. The teams who haven't watched her play became silent, she wasn't just good at serving with one hand but both.

"Since when could she— is that.. Sakusa?" they whispered among each other, wondering why he was there since he had lost his game yesterday.

"Y/n!" she stopped before she three the ball in the air, looking over to her teammate as she caught the ball. "Yeah?" she saw her point over to the audience, following were she was pointing to as her eyes met his, walking over to him as he came closer to the railing.

"Didn't know you were a fan of mine Kiyoomi."

"I just didn't have anything to do today, you're not special Y/n."

'They're on first bases too?!'

"Yeah yeah— isn't there school?" she caught him in a lie as she suddenly turned back around. "What— Kiyoomi! I'm not special— I am!" she mocked, turning around as the opposing team had came in. "They're late."

"I honestly thought they'd come earlier, since everything they do is just copy us." the other team felt their stares, looking over to them as they scoffed. "You revealed your secret yesterday L/n, there's nothing you can do—"

"Nothing I can do? I'm pretty sure giving you ideas for your next birthday party is what I do best. I mean since you like to copy everything we do. What's the theme going to be? Show and tell? Gonna show and tell your little lies— Ayano I wasn't done!" Y/n felt herself being dragged away from the net.

"You're done, it's time for them to practice, go over the strategy with the team while coach fills up the water." Ayano pulled her over to the team, sitting Y/n down on the bench. "We need you in top shape today."

"I mean you guys don't really need me, you guys are perfectly good on your own." Y/n complimented her team, receiving thank you's. "We know that but don't you want to win? Those copy and paste's don't deserve that win, right Y/n?"

"They really don't! It's honestly surprising how high they came up!"

"Now get on that court and show them why our team is named the Queens for a reason." Ayano smirked, making her teammates confident boost as they made their way on to the court. "Queens? Is that what they call you—"

"That isn't what they call you, do they?" Y/n looked at her captain. "Honestly, send us a thank you note for putting you guys near the top! Just don't get mad when we get number one." the whistle blew as Ayano quickly did an underhand serve, the ball went high, going back down onto the other side of the court as the other team tried to find the ball, silently cursing at how bright the stadium's lights were.

They heard the ball slam down on to the floor, all turning to where the ball landed. "I hope you had a goodnight sleep, these next two sets are going to wear you out." Ayano's team laughed at the other girls.

"This'll be a quick two sets, don't worry, you can go home and rest all you want!"

———

It wasn't a surprise for Niiyama to win, as they said, a quick two sets it was. The other team were kinda joyed they lost, not wanting to hear Y/n's insults about them. They then shook hands, Y/n wiping her hand off her shirt when she touched the other teams hands, claiming that she didn't want germs to get on her, making them irk more.

"It wasn't a bad game..coming from a team like you. I mean honestly, is that all you do—"

"Y/n let's go." Ayano said as she sighed, Y/n walking by her side as they left the gym. "We're so close to winning— Kiyoomi?! Why are you still here?" she went towards him as her teammates watched. "Just saying congrats. Can't I do that?"

"I mean you can because obviously—" she felt his hand pat her head. "Actually, since you don't have a game later on..Mayumi actually wanted to meet you again.." he mumbled as a little girl popped up from behind him, poking her head out.

"Yumi! You're so cute!" she bent down, cupping her cheeks, giving Mayumi a kiss on the forehead. "You played well Y/n!" the seven year old girl smiled as she took her hand. "Ayano, you don't mind if I go with them for a while?"

"Huh, yeah sure. Be back in an hour."

"Come on Yumi! I wanna get you an ace shirt!"

"You're an ace Y/n?!"

"So am I."

"No one's talking about you Kiyoomi!"

"I should've stayed home.."
