"Oh Gods, of course only 'I' manage to get myself lost" Enchessa mumbled halfheartedly as she slapped a branch out of her way and slumped down onto a lonely tree trump, sighing annoyingly at the fact that she managed to lose trace of Loki even though she promised him that she'd stay close by and not walk off like she had done the previous time they went out hunting. Thus, she sprained her wrist whilst tripping over an over-growing root of a tree.

Her grey eyes scanned her ever so ominously growing surroundings as everything seemed to have a mind of it's own, the sly snapping of twigs, the loud caws of birds from the dead followed by howls of vicious creatures who were out looking for their midnight snack.

"Gods help me" She grumbled once again while standing up, holding her only sense of a weapon by her side, her trusty sword she'd been given a gift from one of the kings "Show yourself, spawn of hell!" She yelled as a the rustling of a bush from behind her caused her attention to snap towards the eerie dark corner of the bushes.

"I'm not afraid of no coward who can't even show himself" She declared while holding her sword out in case she needed to defend herself "Tsk, tsk, tsk. To think that you've grown up to be an independent women, what a shame this is what you've become" She remembered that voice, that untrustful voice.

"You're one to talk, hiding is the only thing you know" She retorted with a snap as Enchessa felt the wind pull her back up against a tree, slamming her body against the dark trunk of the oak tree. Causing the air in her lungs to retreat back outside and leave her heaving with a burning sensation in her lower back.

"Hiding again? Behind your magic this time, what a shame this is the devil you turned out to be" Enchessa sneered one again with a half-laugh followed close behind as she could feel the bruising beginning to form "Oh, I see how it is" The voice giggled, echoes of a child throughout the branches and leaves of the trees surrounding her.

Enchessa then pressed the tip of her sword into the ground as she applied all of her weight onto the sharp blade as she struggled to get up. "It was you with the voices wasn't you? You called me out here" Enchessa strained with a raspy voice, now feeling the pain from her back as the adrenaline wore off and now she could feel every pulse of every limb and skin on her body, the thumping so harsh she could hear them in her ears.

"Such a smart young women you are Chessie, I'm surprised to say the least. But who am I to laugh and joke, your bright future was as obvious as everything" The voice sighed before a soft melodic chime rung throughout the wind blowing around gently.

"Why have you been following me Clorie?" Enchessa sighed while giving up the thought of standing and decided to lean her aching back against the tree and lay her behind on the soft grass beneath them.

"I came to help you" Enchessa just froze in her spot, lost in a world of confusion as she eyed the girl dressed in every shade of purple, bright pastel with darkened variants of violet "And why should I trust you, you weren't in my life for the past what? One hundred and forty two years?!" Enchessa shouted in disbelief, standing up and confronting the one friend she loved and grew up with, she was like a sister she never had.

"I had my reasons Enchessa, I didn't leave willingly" The girl mumbled "You could've told me, I would've done something-anything" Enchessa whispered softly, eyes welling up with tears she harshly wiped away with the fingertips of her hand "But no, you left me all alone. You left and everyone thought you were dead, as did I" "I had to Enchessa, please believe me-" Enchessa shook her head in denial as she turned her head and faced the opposite direction of the girl, staring at the tree as she gave the violet girl a good silent treatment.

"I don't know what to believe in anymore, I've been on the road for the past how many days, how many fights I've had with Loki. But you would know wouldn't you? You've been watching me ever since I stepped a singular foot in Asgard" Enchessa scoffed as she looked over and found the saddened eyes of her best friend "I don't have a single interest in what you have to say, you had all this time to talk to me yet you refused to do so and confront me. I don't want to hear from you ever again, leave me and Loki alone, exit my life" Enchessa fumed as she turned to leave.

"I only ever loved you Enchessa, you're my sister whether you want to believe it or not, you know we are and always will be" Enchessa only shrugged her off with a scoff as she rushed to get away from the dark clearing and hopefully back to Loki.

"You lost that love from me when you left Clorie".

---

Enchessa stormed through all branches from all sizes, shoving them out of her way as she used her sword and slashed and thrashed the blade around recklessly as she was fuming with anger, letting out a scream of frustration as she threw her sword carelessly to no specific direction as all she wanted to do was crawl up into a ball and cry.

And crawl up into a ball and cry she did.

She wiggled herself inside a hollow tree and silently wept as she thought of Loki, how angry he must be, outraged about her disappearance as she couldn't hold it in anymore, all she wanted to do was cry and cry. Do nothing else until he came and found her crying like a child inside of tree as he would yell and shout with harsh words that would make her tears double and how he would probably never want to see her again...

He would probably leave her here and return back to Asgard, she was content with these saddened thoughts as she was too busy with her-self pity she didn't realise the steps coming into her direction, feet crushing twigs and leaves as she ignored them and hoped they'd go away.

"Enchessa?!" She ignored the shocked voice as she cried even harder, sobs leaving her lips in a hurry as she covered her face with her cold and frozen hands, hands white from the sheer cold of the weather as she choked on her cries. Eyes puffy and red followed by the build up of mucus in her nose as she struggled to breathe properly from all the heavy crying.

"I'm such a horrible person, I deserve no one" She cried helplessly as she was pulled into a warm chest as her hands flew up to the material of the shirt as she clutched onto the man for dear life as she hoped for nothing more than a happy life, was that too much to ask for? Or was life playing games?

"P-please" She whispered with a sniffle as the man effortlessly lifted her off the ground and towards his horse "Let's get you all warmed up, how about we go home Enchessa?" She nodded her head as she clung onto him further, seeking to stick to him as she felt sick of everything, she wanted to throw up from all this stress.

"Loki" She whispered with a shaky breath as she couldn't help but cry softer as she he gently shushed her, kissing her temple as she had her face gingerly buried into the crook of his neck, cuddling into the warmth he had as he carried the both of them towards the horses as he had a plan to take them back to the cabin so they could take everything back with them to the main palace.

"We're going home darling, everything's going to be alright now".

[A/N:]

Feels like forever since I've updated, I've been working on the rewrite of this book as well as my other books so far, I'm trying my hardest to work and write drafts for stories as I normally like to 'wing it' instead form a plan as to what's going to happen in a said story instead of going with no plan and just writing whatever comes to mind. I need to be organised so I'm trying here ^-^
