Present Day:

"Enchessa!" her father growled, as her she was stepping across the line "what, just becauas you rule the throne, you get a say in everything, even my life" "YES!" He roared, no matter how much it pained him to for to do it, it was for the sake of the kingdom "don't" he could see the pain in her eyes, but no matter how much he loved her, it was meant to be "you can't do this to me, I don't deserve this" "I'm sorry" was all he could make out before he waved her hand, dismissing her "what did I do to deserve this" he could almost picture how heartbroken she was "you can't be doing this to me" she cried, leaning against the pillar, outside the throne room doors "Enchessa!" it was Leah "what happened" she couldn't make out any words, other than loud sobs.

Her friend had taken her back to her chambers in order to get some sort of 'rest' "Enchessa" her friend whispered "leave me" she choked out. "But Ench-" "leave'' she said more angrier than before "but-" "LEAVE!" She used her magic and sent her friend flying through the doors, ending with her bawling her eyes out on the floor in front of her fire place "WHY!" She cried out, hoping that this was all a dream, she wasn't ready for this...at all.

"Enchessa" it was Arkin "leave me alone" she said flatly, not bothering to lie about her feelings, her brother probably found out by now "you know I can't do that" "yes you can; turn around and walk away. Simple." "Don't be like that" she got up and pulled her door open, ripping it off it's hinges " 'don't be like that' " she mocked him "how do you expect me to be huh!? All happy and excited, that this was every princesses dream, to be married to her prince in shining armor, well let me tell you, it isn't...not mine, now leave" she walked back over to the fire place and sat down on the floor. Her brother stood there watching his sister's miserable state overwhelm him, he watched the flame from the fire place dance around in her grey eyes "don't be like this" he repeated again, leaving to go find their father and talk some reason into him.

He stormed through the hallways of their home; the palace, where they grew up knowing all kinds of special knowledge never found in any other of the Nine Realms "Father!" He shouted, disliking his fathers actions upon his dearest sister "yes my son" he was sat up on his throne talking to his fellow friends, chiefs and other leaders of such from the villages within and beyond the borders of the kingdom.

Arkin stood tall, ignoring the stares of the people in the room "leave us" his father ordered them "yes my king" "your majesty" a few of them bowed there heads in a sign of respect others on one knee with their right arm crossed over their chests. "Father you can't do this" "do what my son" "you know very well what I am talking about father, don't deny it" "I haven't the slightest clue" it was true he truthfully had no clue what his son was saying "Enchessa" Arkin said "you marrying her off to some stranger, a man we know nothing of" his father just let out an exasperated sigh "this is a matter upon no discussion" "father be reasonable" "I am, this is for the good and future of this realm" "does that 'good for the realm' come with the price of losing your daughter, the one you raised to be just like yourself, a brave, courageous warrior who will do anything to keep this realm out of danger and who will risk her life doing so, father please reconsider, for my sake" his father snapped his head into his direction "what do you mean 'for my sake'?" "You know father, you never showed me as much love as you've shown Enchessa, I always believed it was becauase she was first born, your first child, a warrior, raised to be the next ruler... but no, never have you once considered me have you" his father didn't speak a word "figured that much, so do me one last favor, and stop this" no matter how much in that moment he poured out all his emotions he has been feeling for...how long. He knew that no he couldn't change this he will, will and always be second, never once seen for anything more... and he accepted this.

"The marriage will continue" Arkin's head fell "never am I good enough for you, am I father" "you will always be my son" "I know that" he says "but I will never be good enough for you, just say it, no need for the unspoken lies" "you will never be good enough, are you happy now" "no, I never said I would be happy, just that I'd rather hear you say it aloud then to hide behind the lies you depend upon". With that he left his father and returned back to dark, dimly lit chambers. Sitting on the edge of his bed his head in his hands, letting out small tears he had bottled up for the years "why" he whispered, tears continuously falling down his face like a flowing river. "Am I never good enough for you" he choked out "better off I dead than rather live with the pain of you being ashamed of me"...

[A/N: Soooo deep chapter, just thought I'd give a little bit of her brothers feelings but yeah a little filler and depressing chapter...]
