Heating the Atmosphere

*Jack POV*

Today is the day Ruby wants our team to start the investigation about Torchwick and what connects him to the White Fang. Currently sitting in Port's classroom is my entire team, bored to the bone. Ruby continues to draw the caricatures, Ryuko taps her hand on top of the desk, yawning from time to time, Weiss is more interested in a clock on her desk, still showing thirty minutes until the end of the class, Blake reads her book, I meanwhile think of a way to bail myself out of this class for the rest of my stay in Beacon. Yang is Yang. Then a speaker comes alive and we can hear Glynda's voice from the other side

Glynda: "Mr. Branwen and Ms. Ryuko Kiryuin are asked to Headmaster's office. I repeat, Mr. Branwen and Ms. Ryuko Kiryuin are asked to Professor's Ozpin office immediately" I and Ryuko jolt our heads up, while the rest of Team RWBY looks at us

Yang: "Did... you two did something?" I shake my head

Jack: "Other than being late for the night call one or two times, I don't think so"

Ryuko: "Whatever the reason is, I'm happy we have a way out of here" she smiles

Port: "Mr. Branwen, Ms. Kiryuin. You are free to go" We get up, pack our things and turn to make an exit, sinking all the jealous looks. I smirk

Jack: "Heh. Good luck with sitting here. We'll wait for you in our room, Ruby" Ruby gives me a thumbs up, not taking her head from her drawing, and we leave the classroom and start walking towards Beacon Tower

Ryuko: "Okay" she sighs "What did you do and why are you involving me in this?"

Jack: "Hey! I didn't do anything! Maybe you did something?"

Ryuko: "Nope! Haven't beaten anyone or anything. Maybe Oz has a mission for us or something?" I shrug and we enter the tower, where I call the elevator. After a quick ride to the top, we wait for Oz to accept the request

Ozpin: "Come in"

Elevator doors open and we step inside the room. Ozpin, Glynda, and Ironwood are waiting for us behind the desk

Ryuko: "You wanted to see us, Professor Ozpin?"

Ozpin: "Yes. Please, take a seat you two" we did "First of all, let me introduce you to a colleague of mine" He gestures to Ironwood "This is General James Ironwood. General of Atlassian army and headmaster at Atlas Academy" James bows slightly

Ironwood: "Pleasure to meet you, Ms. Kiryuin"

Jack: "Of course..." I say under my nose

Ryuko: "O-oh... Pleasure is all mine, General"

Ozpin: "Now, as we all know each other, let's get to the main reason why I called you two, especially you, Ms. Kiryuin"

Ryuko: "Me? But- am I in trouble?" Ozpin chuckles slightly

Ozpin: "No, why should you? Now, let me ask you" Oz looks at her "What's your favorite fairytale?"

Ryuko: "Excuse me, I seem to not understand what is going on? Why would you-" I cut her off

Jack: "Just answer Oz's question, Ryu. He asked me that too"

Ryuko: "Well... There is the story about The Shallow Sea, The Tale of the Two Brothers, The Witch in the Woods. But my favorite is The Story of the Seasons" Ozpin calmly takes a sip of his coffee

Ozpin: "And why is that, Ryuko?"

Ryuko: "Well... my father told me and my sister that story every night when we were little kids. I absolutely loved it. It taught me that it pays to be good for other people, and partially inspired me to take this way of work, as a Huntress"
