Leader Soobin

Chapter 8

Soobin's POV

Its finally the day we go to the company and we are deciding our roles. We all are rappers, vocalists, and dancers. But the surprising thing was that no one wanted to be leader and were all voting for ME being the leader. I was shocked and I have my doubts that I would fail as a leader.

"W-what? Why do you want ME to be leader?"

They start explaining their reasonings of why they want me to be leader. What they said was boosting my self esteem but the younger three said that Yeonjun would be the "parent figure" of the group which made me laugh.

"For one, Yeonjun hyung can't be leader because he is the oldest which is making him the parent figure." Beomgyu made his point.

"Second, Soobin hyung, you show the most leadership out of all of us. YOU led us at the competition, and YOU wrote Crown!" Taehyun reminded me of my leadership skills.

I'm pretty sure Soobin didn't write crown, as TXT said that the first song they wrote themselves was 'Maze in the Mirror'.

"If any of us are a leader, its you Soobin hyung!" Kai said cutely

Yeonjun agreed with the others and he held my hand. "Plus, if I was leader, I wouldn't have an amazing hyung to lean on and ask for help when I need it."

We all hugged and then the manager said we have 2 months to make our debut album and make up a choreography for each song. We need 5-10 songs and he said he wanted 'Crown' on it. He also asked who sang the best falsetto and everyone instantly said me. We all nodded to his instructions and went home for the night. When we got to Yeonjun's house, it was about 8pm. We sit down for a few minutes and I see Yeonjun was on his phone for a while and I was curious why.

"Yeonjunie, can I talk to you for a minute?"

I bring him up to his room. He looks at me scared and I hug him for comfort. He rests his head on my shoulder and we stay this way for a few minutes.

"Soobinnie, whats wrong? Why did you bring me here?"

He asked me and then I sit him on the bed. I sit next to him. I sigh shakily and ask him a few questions.

"I have a few questions. One, why have you been on your phone for so long? You normally talk to us a lot. Two, a-are you cheating on me? I saw you typing a lot and you were smiling. I just want to make sure I'm good enough for you."

Yeonjun looks at me with a sad expression. Is he cheating on me?! Was I right?! He had tears in his eyes. I reached out to hug him but he cupped my cheeks first. His kissed me and then smiled.

"Baby, I will never cheat on you. I love you too much to cheat. I was writing lyrics for a song and the lyrics were warming my heart. I'm thinking of calling it 'Our Summer'."

I smiled in relief as he showed me the lyrics he wrote. They really were heart warming. We went back to the other boys and they were sleeping. Both yeonjun and I are pretty strong so we carry them up to their rooms. We go In Yeonjun's room and we lay on the bed. We're laying next to each other and I fall asleep in 5 minutes.

Yeonjun's POV

Soobin was now sleeping as well. I try to force myself to sleep but I couldn't fall alseep. It was now about 11:30pm and I was irritated. I quietly and slowly get up, go downstairs and out to our backyard. I pull out my phone and finish writing and editing the lyrics. That takes about an hour. I then start singing in the melody I want the song to be. I practice singing the song a few times.
