Ch. 5 : Guilty

Author's POV

A bright white light appears in front of Gulf. The ghosts immediately run away. Meanwhile, Chan is stunned by it. The light has a lot of positive energy. He knows it won't hurt them. He stands up and rushes to Gulf.

"P'Gulf~ P'Gulf~ Open your eyes! We are safe now~", Gulf frowns.

He is confused. He slowly opens his eyes. He sees Chan and the light. He is also stunned. But, it's not only that. The light transforms into a face of old man.

"Your journey will not be easy after this, but remember that I'll always be there to protect you whenever you are in danger...", Gulf is speechless.

Everything turns dark again. The light disappears before Gulf can say anything. But, he is sure that he will meet him again one day. Just after that, First comes. He runs out of breath. He immediately checks his friend.

"Friend! Are you okay?"

"I'm okay..."

"Did they approach you again?", Gulf shakes his head.

"No... This time, it's different. They have strong dark power and bad intentions...", First chuckles.

"What the hell is happening here?! Since P'Mew came to your life, that dark power starts attacking you!", Gulf sighs.

"It's because her ex using black magic. At first, he wants to hurt P'Mew by making him can't forget her. But, once she knew P'Mew is richer than her current boyfriend, I think she wants to get him back..."

"WHAT?! Why did you not tell me everything, friend?"

"How can I tell you when P'Mew was around us all the time?"

"Euh... Euhhh... Then, you have to tell me the whole story later! Deal?", Gulf nods.

"Nah, where is P'Mew? Why were you here alone?"

"He has gone home...", Gulf pouts.

"WHAT?! WHY?"

"I don't know... Maybe he is busy or something..."

"But, this isn't right, Gulf! You even entered this building at night, get chased by dark powered-ghost, and he just left you like that?! Tsk! He and his cousin are just the same! They leave whenever they want without thinking about us!"

"First, I do know my position... I'm not more than the partner that his parents have chosen... He won't ever see me more than that..."

"Don't talk like that, Gulf! It's his responsibility! He has promised after all!"

"Let's talk about this later... We should leave now..."

"Okay! Come on!", First helps Gulf to stand up.

"Chan, phi will go home na... Thank you for today..."

"You're welcome, phi!", Chan disappears in the blink of eyes.

"It is here too?", First gulps.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk! Why are you afraid with cute boy like him, huh? You also can't see him though..."

"It's not afraid, it's called cautious!"

"Euh... Euhh... Whatever you say! Now, let's go home!"

First brings Gulf back to his condo. After both of them finish cleaning themselves, they drink beer on living room. Gulf tells everything to First about yesterday. His eyes widen. He slams the can to table.

"What did you say?! Even in this era, someone is still using black magic to get some rich man? Ohoooo~ She better gets treatment or buys cosmetic!"
