The heavens were a place where many longed to go. It was the promised land of bliss and happiness. Yet Wen Jian couldn't have cared any less about these thoughts. He had existed as part of the heavens for centuries now, but there was something that was always missing.

He still didn't have a lover.

Wen Jian had been raised in the heavens by his paternal grandfather. He watched as people ascended to the heavens and watched as some left to be reborn. He was even present at the grand wedding of the goddess of the south and the god of the rivers on behalf of his grandfather.

On that day, rare flowers that bloomed once every ten centuries had been in full bloom. Piles of gifts sat in the corner of the ceremonial hall, each one attempting to outshine the others. The god of the rivers had a faint pink blush lay on his cheeks all day as the guests came in waves to congratulate the two. But the happiest of them all had to be the goddess of the south.  She had shown up, dressed in the finest silk. There was no one in the room who was as dazzling as she was.

What wonders could love do to transform her from a cavern of ice to a beaming wave of sunshine? Her laughter could be heard for days after the wedding. It was like a sweet tune floating through the heavens.

After the ceremony ended, she came up to him to pass on thanks to his grandfather. She laughed and joked with him for a short while, before asking where his own partner was at. Wen Jian hadn't known how to respond back. It was something that never seemed to cross his mind before.

But since then, it was something that couldn't escape from his mind. He tried to find someone through the blind dates that his grandfather had set up. There countless matches awaiting him. Sure, some of them had a great personality, but that spark in his heart wasn't there. As the years grew it seemed as if there was no one in the heavens that could be a match for him.

Failing to give up, Wen Jian decided that he needed to take matters into his own hand. His grandfather had a collection of worlds that were birthed due to 'plot'. They were his special treasure. Each world had different types of people and a whole different story. Wen Jian hadn't been to any of them before, but if the heavens didn't have a lover for him, then he would gladly go into these worlds to find his fated match.

And so on a fine summer evening, a servant frantically ran to the grandmaster's pavilion. He had been outside having tea while chatting with a few elders. Normally at this time, no servants were allowed to enter. It was supposed to be the quiet and relaxing time of day.

Yet it was at that time that, the grandmaster of the heavens received a message. One of his worlds had collapsed.
