The name of the train station is King's Cross. As we pass platform 1, Dahlia whispers something about muggles.

"What?"

"Muggles, they're everywhere." She exclaimed, annoyed. Realizing I have no idea what she's talking about, she says," Muggle means any non-magic folk." I nod. Then I had an idea.

''Hey, Dahlia, is there a spell, or something, that can fix glasses?" I make sure there isn't anything in my voice that can give away why I'm asking. We're passing platform 6 when she answered, smiling.

"Yeah, why?" she asked, tone teasing, and eyes playful. I surprised us both by snapping

"Because I don't wanna go to this school looking like a complete fucking idiot, that's why." I tensed, she softened. "The spell to mend glasses is

Oculus Reparo

," By that time we'd reached platform 9. "I'm sorry, Dahlia."

Waving away my apology, she handed me a train ticket.

Platform 9 ¾, Hogwarts express.

"Just take your cart, and walk into that wall." I hugged her as tightly as I could knowing I wouldn't see her for a while. "I love you so much, baby girl. Say hello to Hagrid for me." With that she was gone. I sighed, stood in front of the wall she'd pointed at, closed my eyes, and ran.

Ten fifty five. I take a deep breath, hold it for five minutes, let it out, and start walking. I jump when I feel a hand on my shoulder, "Holy shit!" I turn around to see Harry, a look of both fear and guilt on his face.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you, just get your attention. I'm sorry." I smiled, biting my lip, then I laughed. "What? Oh my gods," he put his hands on his head, "I broke her. Nononono, Lotus." After a moment, when I gained my composure and Harry saw that I was fine, he laughed,

"You scared me. You have a cute laugh." I blushed. His ears turned pink. "Um, we should probably get on the train." I didn't speak, just nodded.

Before we took our seats, I saw one of the kids I'd seen earlier. With the woman who helped me find the owls. I grabbed Harry's arm to pull him into an empty cubicle, but his name was called.

"Harry! Hey Harry!" He turned and smiled,

"Ron! Hi," I told him I'd find seats, he nodded. It took a minute for them to find me, but when they did, Ron paled.

"Hi," I smiled trying to be confident.

"Hi," getting over his shock, the color returned to his face. "I'm Ron"

"Lotus Allen" I stood to shake his hand, he took it, and looked at Harry. Smiling.

"Lotus, you're Lotus. Good to know." Harry shot him a warning glance.

"Ronald," I blushed, and cleared my throat.

"Harry, the key, I found its home." That got his attention, head snapping toward me.

"You did, really?" I could tell he was happy, that he cared. That meant a lot to me.

"Um, key?" Ron asked. I looked at Harry, a question in my eyes. "I trust him, I'll tell him if you want me to." I smiled gratefully, and he told Ron what I told him just hours ago.

"Bloody hell." Was all Ron said, I was looking out the window absentminded. "And, this key, you said you found its home?" I'd almost forgotten I'd said that.

"Yeah," I pulled out both the box and the letter and passed them to Harry. He opened the letter and read silently. When he was finished, he passed the letter to Ron and asked me for the key, which I gave him. Ron was the first to speak. "So, the ring, who are you giving that to?"

Harry smacked him. "Ronald,"

"What? Just asking." He said, rubbing his arm.

"Actually, I was going to give it to Harry." I looked up at him, hopeful.

"I was hoping you'd say that," Harry said, grinning.

Just then, the door swung open, "Anything from the trolly, dears?" a woman with a thick accent asked, the boys across from me looked at the treats longingly, and I laughed.

"We'll take three of each. Guys, stop drooling." I paid and soon they were laughing, too.

"Oh, I almost forgot," I pointed my wand between Harry's eyes, he looked terrified. "Don't be scared,

Oculus Reparo."

Before any of us could blink, the tape holding his glasses together fell to the floor. Ron's eyes widened in surprise, but it was Harry who spoke.

"Whoa! Lotus, you're brilliant. That was amazing." I blushed.

"No, I'm not. Here," I handed him the ring, taking the locket.

Lotus, how does this work.

"I'm not sure, the letter didn't say anything about it." I said aloud, looking down at my half of the pair. When I didn't get an answer, I glanced to my left, where Harry was seated. "What?" He was looking at me as if I'd said I was a ghost.

"I didn't say anything." I laughed.

"Yeah, that's why I asked what was wrong." He blinked,

"No, I mean, I didn't say anything at all. You answered a question that I hadn't said yet."

Harry, what are you saying?

"I'm saying we can hear each other's thoughts. At least, as long as we wear these." I gaped at him because I hadn't said anything, either.

"Oh my god," I whispered, then thought to Harry

L, do you know what this means?

H, it means I can talk to my Mom again.

Just then a frizzy haired girl opened our door.

We're almost to Hogwarts, time to change into your robes.

"Who was that?" I asked. It was Ron who answered,

"I think that was Harmonie Granger, she's a sixth year prefect. She thinks she's better than everyone else because she aced her O.W.L.S." He acted annoyed, but there was something else in his voice.
