izuku POV
"EEEE! Izu, no way!"
My best friend shrieked on the phone. I winced a tiny bit at how loud she was. I tried not to flinch too much though, as I might set off my quirk.
"You've been searching for ages! How'd you even find her?!"
"I dunno," I replied. "I'm trying to think on where I could've met her."
"Hold on, I'm coming over right now! In the meanwhile, think of where you could've met her!"
A few minutes later my bubbly best friend, Uraraka, was at my front porch practically exploding from excitement. She ran towards me and squealing and pulling me into a warm hug.
When I had first met her, she'd had a crush on me but was later disappointed as neither of us had inherited quirks. We continued to be good friend though, and I don't know what I would do without her.
"Sooo?! Did you think about it?" she giggled.
I had, actually. I inherited it the day after I went to study the heroes fighting that villain with the rat quirk. Since I hadn't looked at anyone while during the fight or grabbing my umbrella, it had to be...
"Yeah! I have a guess." I replied, snapping out of my thoughts.
Uraraka beamed. "Do you remember anything about their looks?" she asked, taking off her chunky white shoes and then throwing herself onto the couch, sending pillows flying.
"Well...the I think I bumped into her while walking. I got a small glance at her, so I honestly have no idea. I was in too much of a hurry to get home."
She laughed a bit. "You didn't answer my question though! You still got a small glance riiiiight?"
I racked my brain trying think. "I think she had your length of hair, probably shorter. I think it was platinum blonde...And um, she had pretty pale skin."
Uraraka seemed to be lost in thought. She had always known most of the people who lived here, which was pretty impressive even if our city wasn't the biggest.
"I can't think of anyone like that here. Unless...maybe it was a guy? You never know." she remarked.
I thought about that for a few seconds. What if it was a guy? I had always considered myself straight but I hadn't really thought about it.
"Well, now that I think of it, that kinda does make more sense."
I could remember the moment more clearly now. It had been a guy. He had kind of messy hair that ended around his ears. And his skin was definitely pale.
Uraraka looked like she was deep in thought, her hands at her head as she was probably trying to remember somebody she knew like that. Suddenly, her brown eyes lit up as if someone had turned on a lightbulb in her head.
"I can't think of anyone like that, but I have an idea!" she said ecstatically. "If he's in this city, then my plan will work out!"
I didn't like that. The last time Uraraka had a 'plan' we ended setting a toaster oven on fire and almost burned down her house, which probably wasn't good for finances.
"What if, and wait for it, we went speed dating?!"
Oh no.
