Elsa

Elsa watched them from the woods, observing the little girl and her brother as they took out their fishing poles and started baiting their lines. She noticed that they came here almost everyday, most of the time to fish but sometimes they came here to relax and play. She watch the little girl play by the water, trying to catch the frogs hopping along the rocks, while her brother would sit close by and watch her while drawing in his notebook. Elsa never got to close to see what he was drawing but whatever it was she knew he put a lot of work into it. She could tell by how hard he would constrainted on it- shading and coloring here and there until it was just right.

She couldn't say she wasn't curious to see what he drew, but she didn't want to chance getting to close with the little the girl -Amy, she remembered Jack calling her that- might being able to see her. But besides for that.... she knew the real reason why she hid from them. She knew couldn't take the pain of knowing Jack couldn't see her because he didn't.....believe in her.

Elsa squeezed her eyes tight, trying get control of herself again before opening them again to watch them.

She knew wouldn't be able to take seeing the boy that looked a lot like her lost love, to look right through her, like she was nothing more then a.... a ghost. It would crush what was left of her heart.

So, she made sure to stay hidden and out of sight as she watched them from across the pond. But she had to say that wasn't the only reason that was keeping back. Her talk with North came to mind.

She burst into the workshop overcome with excitement as she flew to find North in his study, knocking over some elves along the way. He looked up at her in surprise as he slowly put down the new toy he was working on.

"Elsa, I didn’t expect to see you."

"North I have the best news." She said a big smile on her face. A smile that North had not seen in a very long time. Before he could ask what it was that had Elsa so happy after so long of nothing but empty stares and frowns, Elsa started to speak.

"North, Jack's back!"

North looked stuned by the news before he suddenly shook his head and sighed. "Elsa I know you have been going through some terrible pain, and sometimes you can get so lost in your grief that it could make you start to see things..... things you want very badly to see but-"

Elsa quickly shook her head. "No North I'm telling you the truth. I'm not crazy, I swear. I saw him by the pond playing with a little girl today."

North frowned and sat back in his chair. "A little girl?"

"Yes. I think it was his sister because I heard her call him her brother."

North tilted his head at Elsa, seeing there was more she wanted to say but was afraid to.

Elsa sighed and looked away. "He didn't look the same. He looked..... different. He had brown hair and dark eyes. I think he was......human."
