Chaewon watched as Heejin drummed her fingers on the steering wheel, waiting for the traffic lights to turn green. Chaewon smirked to herself, noticing how Heejin's jaws were locked tight, her teeth gritting against each other ever so often.
Annoyance. Heejin's eyes were filled with it rather than the usual fondness that it catered. It amused Chaewon. It was such a rare sight, after all. If she wasn't sitting she was sure her tail would be swishing back and forth.
It wasn't her fault that Heejin was so, so fun to tease. It was fun to see her glare when she would place her hand down her thighs dangerously close to her crotch or when she would play footsies under the dinner table. It was fun to hear Heejin's breath hitch when she would whisper something dirty against her ears while she was in the middle of a serious conversation.
It was absolutely fun being a brat and it was exhilarating to watch Heejin try her best to push back any hint of frustration. Even Haseul noticed her discomfort when she grunted particularly loud when Chaewon started grazing her fingers back and forth on her thighs sensually before giving it a rough squeeze. Oh, how the woman doted on her for a minute or two causing everyone's attention to focus on a very flustered Heejin. Chaewon had to hold back a giggle, her canines flushed against her bottom lip as she smiled wickedly.
All in all, it was a great dinner, in her opinion. Heejin could beg to differ all night.
"Are you mad at me?" Chaewon asked so innocently. Heejin didn't bother to respond, her eyes still focused on the blinking stoplight. She reached out to place a hand on Heejin's knees, only for her owner to grab her wrist tightly before she could even do so. She winced, her ears twitching. "That hurts."
"Behave." Heejin said, her voice deeper and raspier than it already is.
"I don't want to." Chaewon countered, trying to pry herself away from the vice grip. Heejin furrowed her eyebrow, tugging Chaewon's arms a little too roughly.
"Behave." Heejin repeated herself, standing her ground even when Chaewon seemed to be on the verge of having a full-blown tantrum. Chaewon started thrashing around, whining and hissing awfully loud. If the setting was any different, Heejin would have calmed her down because of the possibilities of her hurting herself because of the seatbelt.
"Let me go!" The kitten scratched the arm that was holding her down. Heejin sucked in a harsh breath between her teeth as the sudden sting made her retract her hands in reflex.
Chaewon gasped under her breath, seeing blood drawing out from where she had inflicted her sharp nails. Shit. She was certainly in trouble now.
"I didn't mean that,"
It was a surprise to her that Heejin managed to keep her facade, sighing before her hand went back to the steering wheel. There was blood trickling down her arms as she stepped on the pedal, continuing to drive without any words to spare. Chaewon pouted, fiddling with her fingers as she felt a wave of guilt wash over her.
They remained in an uncomfortable silence for the whole duration of the ride. Heejin didn't even have the courtesy to turn on the radio to compensate for the lack of conversation. She didn't even know how many minutes had passed until they were finally at their apartment's underground parking lot. Chaewon felt her body going tense as Heejin maneuvered their car into their usual spot. Was she still in trouble? Why was Heejin ignoring her?
"Heejinie," Chaewon called out, her eyebrows arching and her ears drooping low. "I'm sorry,"
"Get out." Heejin cut her off, eyes still fixated forward as she turned off the engine. The humming sound and the faint vibration of the car coming to a halt, causing Chaewon to loom over the tense atmosphere even more.
