Sooyoung sighed as she shut the door behind her, keeping the outside world far away and at bay. No one could bother her anymore, no one could demand any more of her. She was done, she was clocked out, and the rest of the world would just have to deal with it.

She felt her back slouch against the door in defeat, she was tired and sore. Sometimes she felt that the world asked too much of her, or in the very least, her job did. Her boss certainly did, damn him.

She kicked her shoes off, a pair of high heels, plum, and as shiny as vinyl. She felt free physically, but not emotionally, because she still had to go back to work tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that, oh shit.

Her girlfriend, Jiwoo, came up to her and kissed her cheek, greeting her warmly; she didn't know how badly she needed her kindness to pull her back down to earth and pull her out of her spiral. She was so kind, her big warm smile was the only thing that could quell Sooyoung's chaos.

"Hello, Sooyoung, I missed you today," Her soft voice singsonged, interrupting herself between kisses as she smothered her face in her affections; and subsequent pink lip prints from her gloss.

They could play house like this, the fantasy felt so real, so tangible, when Jiwoo took her brief case from her and set it down gently on the ground. but they didn't have a white picket fence, kids or a dog, or the sound of their neighbour mowing his lawn through an open window, because that was something so distinctly subdivisiony- if that was even a word.

The smaller woman took the taller one in her arms, hugging her tight. Jiwoo missed her so much.

No , they had an apartment they could barely afford, while Sooyoung worked in a shitty office job and Jiwoo worked, arguably a shittier job, a daycare instructor, while she worked on getting her masters in education. But she liked kids so it was okay, she liked when she had to wash paint off of her jumpers after a long day, and would smile when her and Sooyoung would talk about their days over dinner, recalling how some kid tried to eat the macaroni they would be used in a craft later that day.

But Sooyoung didn't like paperwork. And it was cute when Jiwoo would beam about her students, and giggle about her day. It wasn't so cute when Sooyoung fumed about what her coworkers had the nerve to do that day.

But maybe Sooyoung was biased. Everything Jiwoo did was cute according to her.

"Hey, Jiwoo,"

Sooyoung sighed as she pulled away from Jiwoo, smiled thankfully, and wiped her cheeks clean from Jiwoo's kiss prints. Jiwoo could tell by the sound of her sigh, and the heaviness of her shoulders that it had been one of those days, one of those rough days. The rough days were happening more and more frequently. It hurt her to see Sooyoung so tired, spread so thin.

Sooyoung needed her desperately, she needed what was about to happen desperately.

It was one of those days, and Jiwoo understood.

Sooyoung pulled her into a rough, possessive kiss. She claimed her mouth to hers as she had done so many times, Jiwoo was hers. Jiwoo felt her core throb in blissful anticipation. She couldn't say that Sooyoung's bad days were all bad , or at least, not for her. She felt guilty for feeling that way, but even so, she never vocalized these feelings, so she figured it was fine to feel this way in her own confidence.

Sometimes, whenever Sooyoung felt powerless in her life, for whatever reason, she needed something to take that feeling out on. Someone to take that feeling out on, and Jiwoo was more than happy to be that person. Sooyoung needed her power back, and Jiwoo was more than willing to kneel at her feet to make her feel powerful again. Sooyoung liked to dominate and Jiwoo loved to be dominated, they were a perfect fit for each other.
