It was unlike any other day in the land of Object Overload, where nothing was out of the ordinary nor different than the days before. The skies remained bright blue, the mighty mountains stayed standing tall and proud, and the fields of grass, flowers, and the woodlands of green remained somewhat quiet as the various animate objects that inhabited the area were up to doing their daily routine.

Globe was trying to stay awake as he half-listened to Candy talking about her new stripe-updation, Top Hat was teaching Dusty how to be proper, Clock was busy with his inventions, and the Alliance was up to no good: just like any normal day.

Or for at least that moment.

A terrified scream was heard, a scream so loud that the birds nesting in the trees flew out in terror.

Dashing down the grassy terrain, a crumpled-up piece of tissue wad ran for the hills like his life depended on it. As he continued to flee, another object could be seen chasing after the poor sod, a grey fighter whose flame was firing up in outrage, whose face could've been compared to a beetroot by the shade of utter rage.

"I'M GONNA KILL YOU!" Lighter yelled, his tone implying that he was dead serious. Such words could strike terror, and not just by his flames.

For the objects that caught sight of it though, not many appeared frightened by it. To them, this was one of Lighter's normal daily routines: taunting and killing others left and right and no intention for his actions, like the psychopathic killer he was. They would've put a stop to it, but they've learned that there was just no stop to his rampage and to only let him burn himself off; they had first-hand experience of his rage.

This cat and mouse chase continued for a while, much longer than other days. It varied at times where sometimes Tissue would believe he outran him but be caught again by the blazing maniac, or where Lighter would accidentally be chased by Tissue after some mishaps, although the two would eventually fix that out and continued onwards with their chase.

After a while, Tissue was slowly getting out of breath and his legs were giving up, but looking back at the state of his enemy's rage made his tiny legs run faster. With quick thinking, he made a sharp left turn and headed straight into the forest, where a boulder once tumbled into days ago.

"Heh, the woods? I know that place inside and out," Lighter said to himself, catching his breath with a maniacal grin.

His fire grew more, almost turning blue by how hot it was getting, and dashed into the woods with murder on his mind, somehow not burning any trees or plant life in his way.

Lighter was so close to the crumpled piece of paper, just inches away but, as if luck was on Tissue's side, Lighter tripped on a tree root seemingly out of nowhere. Grunting, he quickly scrambled to his feet, seeing that Tissues was even further away.

He tried to catch up, but Tissue had one heck of a head-start. Before he even knew it, Lighter soon lost track of him and tried to search deeper into the forest. Left and right, back and forward, he kept searching until he was back where he started, but stubbornly didn't give up. He couldn't give up, that little traitorous pip-squeak wouldn't get away that easily.

After several excruciating minutes of searching, Lighter observed the area one last time in frustration: that little scrub was nowhere in sight. Letting out a groan of frustration, the hotheaded object stormed away further into the woods, gritting his teeth and forming his hands into fists.

Tissue was lucky: rarely he'd ever escape and usually get burnt to crisp in the hands of his, but this was one of those days Lighter hated. The days where Tissue would live another day, where'd he'd escape scot-free. That little backstabber, who does he think he is?

Walking further and further into the woods, Lighter's anger seemed to have been toned down, but he was still in a bad mood. He wasn't so used to the events from earlier happening: everything was just perfect for everyone there, every day was the same and no one really complained about this endless cycle.

Well, before "it" showed up: "it" being Gamey.

Gamey, the careless "game show host" that showed up out of thin air, found lying next to a tree (presumably dead) here in these very woods and had no memory of where'd he came from or how he got there. Everyone though went along with his "game show" once he mentioned the million dollars.

But that wasn't strange, what was strange to Lighter was... His condition. There were cobwebs, and dust, and those don't just appear after a day or two, he'd had to have been there for a good few weeks, or months, or, god, YEARS even. But, that was the thing.

Who could've left him there, for that long, and... why?

A twig snapped.

"Hey, wh-who's there?" Lighter demanded as he turned around, holding his clenched-up fists towards his chest and was ready to defend himself.

"Show yourself!"

A wave of ambiguous quietude carried through and Lighter wasn't having any of it.

"Is... Is this some sort of sick joke? Cause if it is, you're so going to get killed!"

As he was multitasking of not showing any fear to whoever was there, he was also trying to think of who may be pulling this off as the uncomfortable silence lingered on.

Was it Television and Locky? Those two liked pulling off pranks as of now.

That pumpkin dude?

Nah, he took care of him earlier.

Or was it... of course! Tissue! He was trying to scare him, that had to be it!

Some bushes ruffled from behind him and the uncertainty he once felt was instantly replaced by the hostility of just thinking of the peewny little backstabbing scrub trying to make him scared. Won't he be surprised once he unwillingly falls into his burning hands of his? Lighting his flame, a sadistic grin swiped his face.

Turning around with a need to kill, he was met with not Tissue or any other being he'd known, but a hooded figure with some sort of mechanical device in its hands.

"Hey, what the-"
