I was in an old hostel with peeling purple paint. I was on the top floor with several flights of stairs between me and the ground. Before me, I could see a large hole over the roof, with reeds and straw surrounding it, a girl fell through the straw barrier into the still pool below. I run over to the edge peering in, but all that can be seen left are clothes.

The next moment I'm walking through a hallway a group of girls giggling past, their transparent bodies passing through me, I felt myself freeze up a static buzzing feeling spreading through me. I'm on the ground now, in a long, white dress, twirling on the concrete floor. The autumn leaves fall over me and I can see their faint outline through my scarf as I'm holding it above.

Things change yet again, but this time I'm being chased, I turn to look behind, a masked figure runs close behind. I run into a corn maze, stumbling through the stalks blocking my way. I can't see, the stalks began twisting around me holding me in place. I could see my pursuer, strolling closer. He took his time, each step sending another bout of fear through me until I was face to face with my masked captor. He reached out to touch my cheek, an evil glint in his cold dead eyes I began to feel myself falling and...

I woke up with cold sweat lining my brow... I looked to the  clock beside me 3:17, I closed my eyes, my head pounding in pain.

I opened them again staring at the ceiling, the bright lights of a lamppost illuminating my room. A rustling sound broke me out of my trance as shuffling foot steps grew louder by my window.

In a panic I froze up in bed, unable to move anything but my eyes as they trailed the dark figure looming closer to my drawn blinds. 'They couldn't see me could they?',  I wondered in panic. I lay on my bed too scared to breathe, watching the figure come closer until they stopped right outside the glass.

I lay there my eyes never leaving the dark figure right by my window, them watching me back in turn. After what felt like hours they just vanished. One moment their shadow on my window, the next they blinked out of existence.

My fight or flight response was kicking in hard, "WHERE ARE THEY?!", I looked around my room, searching for anything out of the ordinary. I looked up, just to make sure, nothing. I wiped my sweaty palms on my shirt and gulped down a glass of water. I looked to my clock 4:02. 'It couldn't have been a dream', but whatever it was I'm definitely not going to sleep any more. I stood there waiting for the morning light to filter through before stepping out.
