When you woke up the following morning you were soundly asleep in your bed. The morning light was peaking through the windows in your room. You were trying to figure out how you'd ended up in your bed but then realized that Bucky probably moved you thereafter the movie ended last night. You hadn't lasted five minutes because of a lack of energy. You felt much better than yesterday until you remembered. Of course, the wedding. You almost wished that you'd forgotten about that. Even after a good night's rest, you were still worried about it.

Before you could continue to worry and get too lost in thought, you got a text message. At first, you were worried it was your mother again hounding you for not calling her back. Instead, it was just a text from Nat asking if you wanted to train with her and to meet her in the gym in 10 minutes. You quickly responded and told her that you'd see her there. You needed to tell someone about the wedding and having to go back home; Natasha was the best person, maybe she could even find you a date?

Nat knew so many people, it would be easy for her to find a good actor to stand in and be a good fake boyfriend. Plus, it's only a weekend event. Who wouldn't want to attend the wedding, it would be free food and drinks. You'd have to ask her as soon as you could. She had to know at least one willing person.

You'd thrown on some gym clothes and rushed to meet Nat. Today you would be working on sparring and continuing to practice your boxing. When you both jumped on the mats and started going through the different routines. You both took 15 minutes beforehand to stretch and warm-up, after that you made sure to mention the wedding. When you did, Nat barely dodged one of your kicks as she was absorbing the information you'd given her.

"So, who's the lucky boy gonna be Y/N," she asked.

You shrugged as you continued to dodge and punch, working your way through the routine.

"Got anyone in mind?" She smirked.

"Nope. I was coming to you and asking for help with this one. The wedding is this weekend and I have to be in my hometown this Friday. I have no idea who to ask. I mean, I would ask Steve but I don't want to take any attention off of the bride and groom,"

By then Natasha had pinned you down. Trying not to admit defeat with the sparring match. She had a few ideas as to who would happily accept and treat you right the whole weekend, but she wanted you to figure that out and ask yourself. You hadn't mentioned Bucky in your statement, but Natasha could pull a few strings and get you two to go together. She'd just have to plant a few seeds first.

"Well, though I've never been in a wedding or had to introduce a boy to my family. I do know that they are very special events. You should take someone you trust, whether they cause a distraction or not. I don't think many of my connections are available for weddings anyways," you both laughed.

Nat let go of her hold on you and helped you get up before you both went to go and get some water. You were disappointed that she couldn't help or at least recommend someone for you. Once you both got water, you continued training to hope that you would be able to sneak into the kitchen and grab something after this.

You'd given Nat's words a lot of thought when you ate breakfast that morning. You were now in the living area reading a book when Bucky walked in and sat down beside you. He waited patiently until you'd finished the chapter and looked up at him with a smile.

That's when it hit you. Go with someone you trust. You should ask Bucky. You mentally kicked yourself for not thinking of him before. But would he even go with you? Would he cause a distraction from being a super soldier? How about his metal arm? Would people judge him because of his past? But, you needed a date so you decided to ask him.
