Rhey's P.O.V

I walked happily down the road in the summer sunshine. I adjusted my aviators that had started to slip down my nose a little and crossed my arms across my chest as I walked.

I couldn't wait until later. Today was mine and Liam's one year anniversary of being together and he had text me 4 days ago saying that I wasn't aloud round his and that I couldn't see him until our anniversary because he was planning a big surprise.

I skipped a little as I turned down Eleanor's road. We had become really good friends since we were known as 'One Direction's Girlfriends' and had gotten to know each other really well.

I was walking to her house to have a bit of a gossip before I had to go and meet Liam later. I honestly felt like doing 100 star jumps, that was how excited I was! Mind you, eating those Haribo's earlier wouldn't have helped.

I literally bounced up to Eleanor's door and knocked three times. I heard shuffling from behind the door and it swung open to reveal her smiling face.

"Rhey!" She squealed as she pulled me in for a bear hug.

"El!" I squealed back with the same enthusiasm. You wouldn't have thought we had only seen each other 3 days ago.

"Come in!" She let go of me and closed the door behind me as I walked into her house. I always loved her house. It had a warm and cozy feel to it, making you never want to get off her sofa's when it was time to leave.

I flicked my shoes off so didn't get any mud on her cream carpet and took my sunglasses off, placing them in my bag.

I followed El through to her kitchen, hung my bag on the back of one of the chairs and sat down at the dining table.

"Tea or coffee?" She asked as she flipped the switch to the kettle.

"Tea please" I smiled at her and she returned the gesture. I watched her as she put the tea bags in the mugs and placed 2 spoonfull's of sugar in my mug. Just how I liked it.

"So, you excited for later?" She grinned at me as she came and sat opposite me whilst she waited for the kettle to boil.

"Of course! Plus I haven't seen him in 4 days so I can't wait to see him again" I smiled just thinking about him.

"Aw! Look at you all in love!" She commented with a smile. The kettle clicked and Eleanor got up and poured the boiling hot water into the two mugs.

She came and sat back down again, looking a little troubled.

"What's wrong El?" I asked, quirking an eyebrow.

"It's just the other day I was on the phone to Liam and he was being kind of distant and sounded as if his concentration was on something else and I'm pretty sure he wasn't with the lads on the day I called him" She explained thoughtfully.

"Oh..." I muttered.

"You know what, don't worry about it" She smiled at me reassuringly but I gave her a curious look. Just then, her phone started to ring. She picked it up and smiled at the phone. I take it it was Lou calling her.

"Hey babe" She chirped into the phone.

She started to have a conversation but I lost interest in what she was saying and occupied myself by thinking about what El had said.

Distant?

That didn't sound like Liam. At all.

I started to consider calling him but I didn't want to ruin any of his plans so I decided to not over think it.
