So- in the original movie (spoiler warning) Emmett and Rex are the same person but in here they aren't, Rex is general you guys probably knew that, And the king is Emmett, you guys probably know that too. So if you guys actually read the other chapter you can see why General is kinda mean to Emmett and ignored him. Emmett tho he's a nice king but later he has to choose where he's gonna go, with Lucy or stay with his people. But if you thought General and Emmett were the same person in this book, no. It's called king Emmett AU, AU alternate universe I believe? Idk- but anyways you'll see Generals past in another chapter soon, more details. And some more reasons why Emmett never left the Systar System. And that's that about Emmett and General.
