Ram's soul and heartbeat

off to Mithila and Lakshman teases Ram

"Bhaiya.." Lakshman says 

"Laksh we aren't going back to Ayodhya until Gurudev tells us that we can," Ram says cutting Lakshman off 

"How did you know I was going to ask you that?" Lakshman asks genuinely surprised, his brother normally never does those kinds of stuff. 

Ram cooly replies "Lakshman you've been thinking about Bharat and Shatru for at least an hour now. and can I not know what my baby brother is thinking about?" 

Lakshman just staters at him with his mouth wide open. 

"Ram, Lakshman. We will be leaving tomorrow at dawn." Gurudev says walking toward Ram and Lakshman, which also breaks the trance that Lakshman was in  

"To go back to Ayodhya?" the Latter asks eagerly

"No Lakshman, I've decided that we will be going to Mithila so both of you can have a darshan of Lord Shiva's bow," Gurudev

"Mahadev's bow?" Ram asks surprised

"Yes, Ram. Centuries ago king Janak's ancestors did many good things and earned the kindness of Mahadev. Mahadev was so happy that he gave his bow to Janak's ancestors and for centuries they had it." Gurudev replies to Ram

The word Mithila made Lakshman starts to think.

a minute or two later Lakshman suddenly remembers something about Mithila and says "Gurudev, before we killed Tataki and one of her sons a few girls were here from Mithila. the eldest of them said she was the oldest daughter of Rajarishi Janak. is that true?" 

"Yes, Lakshman. she is the Rajkumari Sita. she was adopted by the king and queen when they found her 16 years ago while ploughing a field. Mahadev's bow is going to be used for her swayamvar,"  Bramarshi Vishvamitra replies 

(a couple of days later) 

after a couple of days journey, the trio reaches Mithila and settle into an ashram. the first day everyone just rests and takes a look around the ashram. the next  Bramarshi Vishvamitra goes to the Guari temple. 

once he returned he heard Ram say "Lakshman, I thought Ayodhya was Beautiful, I guess I was wrong. Mithila is amazing." 

"that is very true Ram. the temples are also very nice I think you should go visit it," Bramarshi Vishvamitra says 

"Ji Gurudev," the two brothers say and go to the Temple. 

once they come out Lakshman turns to his brother and says "Bhaiya, I am going to the arena and practice my sword-fighting skills." 

Ram nods and Lakshman walks off.

(in the Garden) 

since Ram was bored in the Ashram, without his brother he decides to go into the Gardens. when he goes he sees someone sitting with her sisters. he ignores them and just takes a look around. 

he turns around upon hearing a voice calling him. 

he says "Devi did you call me?" 

"Ji. I am Mandavi, these two are my sisters," Mandavi says, and takes a pause "this is my older sister sita and she is shrutakeerthi. our other sister is not here. we are the Mithila Rajkumaris. who are you? you like you're from a royal family."

"greetings Rajkumari Mandavi, Rajkumari Sita, Rajkumari Shrutakeerthi. I am Ram. I am the eldest Rajkumar of Ayodhya. I came here with my younger brother Lakshman, and  Bramarshi Vishvamitra. my other two brothers are in Ayodhya," Ram replies 

"I hope you like our kingdom?" Sita says 

"Ji Rajkumari. I thought Ayodhya was the most beautiful kingdom until recently, but now I know that Mithila is way more beautiful," Ram replies facing Sita

"We have to get going now. our parents must be looking for us. it was nice meeting you Rajkumar Ram," Shrutakeerthi says before the  three princesses leave 

Ram just stares at Sita unable to realise what has happened. Ram returns to the Ashram, in deep thought. 

(in the Arena)

Lakshman was in the arena practising with his sword. Urmila enters a while after Lakshman and sees that he is practising. not knowing who it is she goes up to him and politely asks him who he is.

"WHO ARE YOU!" Urmila screams since Lakshman doesn't answer. 

"Rajkumari please calm down," Lakshman says trying to calm the princesses in front of him down 

"Not until you tell me who you are," Urmila says refusing the calm down 

Lakshman replies, now cautious of the anger of the princess in front of him"Rajkumari, I am Lakshman. Rajkumar of Ayodhya. I came here with my bade bhaiya Ram, Bramarshi Vishvamitra."

"I don't believe you. Why don't you duel me and if you win, I will stick to my conclusion that you're a Rakshasa, but if I win I will agree that what you are saying is true, " Urmila says fire still in her eyes. 

"fine Rajkumari," Lakshman says. 

The duel begins. it was hard and long. Soon Urmila has Lakshman on the floor and badly cut on the arm. 

"I guess what you are saying is true Rajkumar Lakshman," Urmila says after she helps Lakshman up but soon carries on "that cut looks deep. let me help." 

"it's fine Rajkumari, I will bandage it up once I get back to my brother and see how he is," Lakshman says politely 

"No Rajkumar, I cut you, let me do the honours of bandaging it up," Urmila says. 

"if you insist Rajkumari," Lakshman says giving up. 

Urmila takes Lakshman to the side and applies some medicine and bandages up the cut and says "change the bandage just before you eat dinner, Rajkumar."

"thank you Rajkumari Urmila. I sure will. I have to go now, it was nice meeting you," Lakshman says and leaves 

(Back in the Ashram)

"Bhaiya, I was looking all over the Ashram for you and you are sitting here," Lakshman says pouting like a child 

Ram looks up and notices that Lakshman's arm is bandaged and immediately he says with concern in his voice "Laksh, what happened to your arm? why is it Bandaged?" 

after chuckling for a minute Lakshman says "Bhaiya you worry too much. I was duelling with Rajkumari Urmila, and she cut me. now tell me why you seem like you were in your own Lala land."

pouting like he was a toddler Ram says "I wasn't in Lala land."

"whenever you pout means you were thinking about something related to us, or in this case, it means you are in love," Lakshman says with a glint of teasing in his voice

"Lakshman!" Ramm says and starts to chase his brother. 

due to his height, Lakshman was able to take longer strides and run away from his brother, but he is soon caught by his brother.
