Hazel searched her purse for something. “Make sure you’re ready later, okay?”We nodded in response. I was buried on my phone, trying to find his account. "Gosh! Wala pa lagi ko niya gi follow?" I went to the couch and stared at my phone. Gipangutana pako niya's akong nga'n diman diay ko niya e follow! Hmp!
"Jaysid man kaha iyang name? Sulayi ragud pud ug search." Phoebe sat beside me, eating a bag of chips.
"I can't find him sa socials n'ya gani," I retorted, sounding a bit frustrated. There were too many Jaysid on Instagram!
"Atay mani, dili mani nako matagsa-tagsa ug stalk." I pouted while scrolling through my phone.
"Hatag bi," I told Phoebe while scrolling on Facebook. "Hungiti ko."
She fed me a chip. "Basin makita ra nimo unya, dai. Barkada ra baya sila."
"Aray oy! Hinayi pud ug hungit!" I hissed.
Hazel mentioned that she was invited to a mini party at her crush's condo and asked if we could come with her. We agreed, seeing it as a chance to unwind before we dive into studying for next week’s exams.
“Hoy inday, pajama party imong dungan?” Phoebe asked with a hint of sarcasm while applying her lipstick.
“Malamang dili, Phoebe.” I rolled my eyes. If she was going to be cheeky, I could be just as sharp.
I headed to Hazel’s walk-in closet, quickly grabbing my bag and changing into my outfit.
By 8 PM, I had changed into a simple Three Dots Essential Heritage t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and white shoes. I decided to wear a black cap instead of braiding my hair.
“Let’s go, girls!” Hazel shouted, feeling excited.
“Wow, excited kaayo ah!” Phoebe replied.
Hazel cuffed her face. "Is my make up fine? How do I look?"
"Pretty kaayo, sisteret! Excited na kaayo ka tan-awon, unsaon nalang kaha ning isa diri," Phoebe attacked.
“Nag join lang ko kay kamo ra duha if wala ko." I rolled my eyes. "And don’t forget, your alcohol tolerance is pretty low!” I fired back.
"Gaga jud oh, bantay bitaw ikaw moy naay ka make out unya." she flipped her hair.
“You're really passing off your behavior nako?" I pretended to chase her. She laughed and quickly dashed out the door.
I saw Hazel still busy texting on her phone. “Let's go?” I urged.
We left from our condo at exactly 8:45 PM and arrived at our destination around 8:55.
“Where’s your guy?” I asked. Hazel just shrugged, looking at her phone.
“Sorry, I was caught up with something earlier. Ready to go?” I heard a familiar voice. It was the guy in the white shirt from yesterday.
“It’s fine.” Hazel was visibly relieved. He signaled for us to follow, and we took the elevator to the 5th floor.
Upon reaching his condo unit, a mix of excitement and nervousness surged within me. I was eager to see him tonight.
