Robert Pensky, a middle school student who is aged 14, was a normal adult who used to go to Baltimore Middle school. Robert was a brilliant young adult who loved astronomy a lot. He always wanted to be an astronaut in NASA to be able to find Aliens in which he believed that they exist. Robert has two best friends: Drake, and Joe. They used to spend much time together after school playing video games and biking in the forest nearby. The three dudes are reckless teens whom main interest is to have fun regardless of what they do.
Eighth grader Robert was not doing so well at school, and his marks were mostly under average. His recklessness and time wasted with his mates cost him a lot and were the main reason why.
It was a casual Sunday, Robert and his friend went to school like they always do feeling bored, unmotivated, and impatiently waiting to finish school and go play video games.
Teacher Steven McMann, a math teacher in Baltimore middle school, entered the class with a smile drawn on his face. Robert looks at him and realize immediately that he is up to something. He smirked at the students and said after greeting: "You guys are having a test". The class panicked at first and claimed that they were not ready. Robert and his friends were not in the mood for a test, and they didn't even care for it.
Mr. McMann: No worries class! It's a MCQ test and it's easy! It's a part of your continuous evaluation. You'll answer it and everything will be fine.
The teacher distributes the test papers to the students and asks them to stay calm and reminds them of the time allotted for the test.
The teacher finally reaches Robert and hands him the test. He, unreadily, grabs a blue pen and reads the Questions and their choices. He understands nothing and cannot answer.
Fifteen minutes passed, and Robert still did not answer. He lifts his head up and look at his classmate George, the nerd of the class.
Robert whispers to himself: "This nerd looks like he's going to tear the paper!"
One hour passed, and the time of the test is up, and the teacher asks students to hand the exam answers to him, and after he asks Robert to stay after class dismissed.
Mr. McMann: Robert, I noticed lately that you're not doing well at school. Is there any problems?
Robert (feeling perplexed): Nothing wrong Mr. McMann! Everything is alright.
Mr. McMann: Your final exams are next month, and you're still being irresponsible! I'll call your parents and tell them about this. This is for your own benefit Robert.
Robert: No Mr. McMann. Please My mom will punish me if she knows.
Mr. McMann: Sorry son, you should learn to be responsible for yourself.
Robert tries hard to convince the teacher not to do it, and that he'll change his attitude. Mr. McMann interrupts Robert while he was speaking, and he said that his decision is final.
Robert goes out of class disappointed and frustrated. He didn't know what to tell his parents about it. He was afraid that they will limit his time with Drake and Joe and prevent him from playing video games.
Eight in the evening, phone rings, and Mrs. Pensky answers the phone.
"Hello??"
"Hello Mrs. Pensky, this is Robert's math teacher Mr. McMann.
"Oh hi Mr. McMann! It's been a while we didn't hear from you."
"Yes, I've been really busy lately. I called to talk about a matter that concerns Robert."
