"i cant believe it, 8AM tomorrow i'm a senior. i've got one year to make it all work."
"i'm telling you ali, i'm gonna make it work. all of it."
that's what you explained as you sat on the beach with your friends, ali, susan, and barbara. ali was your neighbor, and your childhood best friend. you've been homeschooled your whole life, but finally your parents are allowing you to attend public school. they wanted you to focus on karate, because of some plan your family has been plotting for years.
tomorrow was your first day of public school, you were excited nonetheless. you couldn't wait to see and meet everyone ali had told you about in the past. you and ali told each other everything, there were no secrets between you two.
"ali?" you looked up from changing the radio station on the boom box, and called out for your friend. but, she wasn't paying any attention to you. instead her attention was fixated at a shorter dark haired boy who seemed to be playing soccer with some of his friends.
"ali?"
...
the sun had gone down and you and the girls were sitting by a fire, you hadn't exchanged any words with them in a hot minute, instead you were studying the group of boys who hadn't sat very far from you guys. ali obviously had the hots for the shorter boy, and you would definitely end up teasing her about it later. but, you didn't like the fact that she could move on so quickly. you see, ali had just recently broke up with her boyfriend, johnny . although you didn't know the guy, you kinda felt bad for him. if he knew about ali and this new guy, he wouldn't be happy.
it wasn't long until ali and the dark haired boy had actually had their first encounter, and there you sat messing with the radio as the boy had began teaching ali how to juggle a soccer ball. after changing the radio station, you glanced up to see motorbike lights, lots of them. you shrugged it off, before looking back over at ali and the mystery boy.
...
"8AM tomorrow, im a senior. i've got one year to make it all work, and that's what im gonna do. make it work, all of it. right?"
familiar words had escaped from the infamous johnny lawrence's lips, as he waited at the top of the hill with his friends. the group was headed for the beach, arriving fashionably late to the party.
"hey you must be a trendsetter, johnny. looks like everyone's doing something new! take a right, check it out."
tommy had exclaimed, trying to get his blonde haired friends attention. pointing out johnny's ex-girlfriend out on the beach with someone new. johnny's facial expression dropped completely, and he was quick to put his helmet on and ride down to the sandy beach.
...
once ali had noticed the group of boys on their bikes, she had quickly kicked the ball away so she could get away from the boy she was with currently. the blonde knew johnny was going to be pissed at the sight of her enjoying her time with someone else, so that's why she quickly made her way back to her friends.
you sat there investigating the whole situation, boom box sitting in front of you. watching as a taller blonde male had made his way over to you and your friends. "hey ali, i wanna talk to you." he spat out, while ali rolled her eyes and sat back down. "just leave me alone." she replied, but the boy was determined to get her attention. "we've been over all this, alright? i dont wanna talk." she groaned, "well i wanna talk to you, alright?" the male snapped back, while shutting off the radio which sat in front of you.
ali was quick to reach over and turn the radio back on, before the blonde boy had shut it off once again. "what is your problem?" the boy asked, "why don't you just take your little cobra kai's and get out of here!" ali hissed, before standing up and grabbing your radio.
still you sat, intrigued by the whole encounter. why was ali being such a bitch to this boy? why wasn't he allowed to talk to her? and why was he so determined to talk to her? you had no idea, but all you knew was that you wanted to listen to some music.
you stood up, going to go retrieve your radio but it looks like the small dark haired boy had beat you to it. "dont touch it punk!" the blonde haired boy had shouted, which resulted in the smaller boy being shoved to the ground.
