"15 more minutes!" She shouted hiding under the covers attempting to block out the sun rays.
"You better be down here in 15 minutes then!" he shouted back. She groaned knowing she would never win this battle. She pulled the covers off and willed her body to get out of the comforts of her bed.
The girl lazily pulled a sweater over her head and inhaled the scent of the sweater's true owner. She dragged her feet over to the door and opened it to see a boy hands out apparently about to knock on the door.
"Look who finally decided to get out of bed," he stated with a slight smirk on his face.
"Shut up before I decided to walk back over to the bed," she dryly commented pushing past the boy.
He couldn't help but chuckle at her behavior. It wasn't unusual for her to act grumpy in the morning. He honestly thought it was cute.
"Why were you in such a good mood?" She asked as she sat down at the counter looking at the boy making pancakes.
"I had my coffee," she said with a shrug. "Besides we have morning classes today and if we're late again Jeno will flip."
"Sounds like you're dating Jeno instead of me."
"Woonie are you suggesting I date my best friend instead of you?" he eyed her. Her face turned red with embarrassment as the reality of what she said hit her.
"No– I mean–" she stuttered trying to find the right words to cover up her statement. She was caught off guard when she heard the boy in front of her laughing.
"I'm kidding as much as I'd love to date Jeno I can't help but only fall for one person." he smiled taking the girl's face into his hands.
"You know how much I love you Wooyeon." placing a gentle peck on her lips.
He didn't get far as she pulled his arm back down and connected their lips again for a longer kiss.
"I love you too Jaemin."

The week went by in a blur. The fall semester tests evidently took a toll on the already tired and stressed students. Wooyeon trudged through the almost empty hallways, coming out on a weekend just to attend some Saturday classes for extra credits. As she reached the gates, the cold bitter rain met her.
For most people, the rain was a cruel cold splash of reality. To ruin a perfect day with perfect plans. But for Wooyeon it brought comfort. She felt calm and at ease with the cool heavy droplets of water. Reaching for her umbrella, she decided to spend the rainy day and what was now becoming her favorite place. The cafe.
She walked through the streets, admiring the beauty of it under the rain. She watched as people in suits ran with their bags over their heads and couples huddling together under the umbrella, no doubt on their way home to cuddle the cold away. Wooyeon couldn't help but wish she could have someone's warmth beside her.
Someone who would brush their fingers through her hair and whisper sweet words in her ears. Someone who would fill her up with warmth not only physically but emotionally. She didn't feel unloved but rather she felt misplaced. Then again there was a tiny gap in her memory so she was no stranger to feeling lost.
"You're back!" the angelic male voice said as she walked through the doors.
Lifting her head up she came face to face with the one person who she found interesting ever since she laid eyes on him. She gave Jaemin a smile before proceeding to the counter and taking her usual order.
"What brings you here today?" he asked as she sat down in front of him at one of the corner tables, pulling out her book of poems.
"Nothin much just came from some extra classes," she said as she took a sip of her warm green tea before proceeding to flip through her book and read it.
"I see you're still reading that book," Jaemin sighed. She looked at him and lifted her eyebrows.
"I see you're still drinking death," she shot back whilst motioning to the cup in his hand.
"Read me something," he said placing his cup down, resting his chin on the heels of his hands. He gave her a shrug as Wooyeon raised an eyebrow at his request.
"Um- why?" she asked clearly confused by his sudden request.
"I mean you like it so much can't you read me one?"
She sighed before flipping through the pages to choose a poem. "I hate and I love. How can I do that, you might ask me perhaps? I do not know. But-"
"That's what I feel."
Wooyeon looked up from her book, not excepting Jaemin to finish the line.
They looked into each other's eyes. Connected through one phrase, one line. The cruelty of the world really did hit them mentally and physically. The pull they both had felt eternal and true yet he couldn't have her and she couldn't have him.
"And this is torture."
