I noticed the time on my clock that sits on my nightstand. Ten O'clock the clock reads. Right now is a good time to head to the park, I already showered beforehand. I picked out a simple outfit, long winter coat, emerald green turtleneck, and black jeans.
Before leaving I grabbed my book and house key. On my way downstairs I hear a TV playing. Eventually I got to the last step and saw it was my older Brother, Clay.
"Where are you going at ten O'clock at night?" Clay asked looking at his watch that's on his wrist.
"The park? You know this already." I respond, slightly rolling my eyes.
"Well, get home at a reasonable time. I don't wanna have to be responsible for how late you stay out." Clay looked back over to the TV screen. I nodded and left out the front door.
I was startled by the unexpected rain drops falling onto my head. Luckily there was a basket with umbrellas in them. I grabbed one and opened the umbrella.
Eventually I arrive at the park. Like normal, there are rarely anyone at the park at this hour, it's just dead. There are at least two people here.
I started walking along the gravel path. Hearing the rain drops bounce off of the umbrella above me, and seeing water drops hitting the ground. Bright lights were on at the park so it wasn't too dark.
I walked for about an hour. This park is surprisingly massive, there's some parts of the park I haven't even gone to to be completely honest with you. A bench was not so far from me, so I walked over to it and sat down, got out the book I was reading. The Outsider by Stephen King. It's a great book, you should read it.
Overtime the rain had stopped so I didn't really need the umbrella. A cute cat approached me. It's not likely to see a lot of stray cats out like this. The cat looked like a Maine Coon mix.
"Kitty, come here." I said in a high pitch baby voice, motioning it to come toward me. It came over to me and rubbed its body across my leg. I put my hand out for it so sniff before I pet it. The cat sniffed my hand and rubbed it's cheek on my fingers.
"Aww, you're friendly." I beamed. I'm such a lover for cats it's ridiculous.
For the remaining time I had, I played with the cat. I decided to name it Krampus. To me, Maine Coon cat breeds look like Krampus. I found that cute. Sadly I cant take the cat home. My mum would murder me, because one I already have a cat, and two she doesn't want a lot of pets in the house. Reasonable reasons but eh.
I looked at my phone and it was five minutes to 12:20. I should head home.
"Bye Krampus! Maybe I'll see you tomorrow." I smiled, gently hugging the cat. Not sure if it's a boy or a girl but it looks like a boy.
I grabbed my umbrella and book then headed home.
